John Kerry, the US Secretary of State, hit rap star Snoop Dogg with a passable fist bump earlier this month, showing that when it comes to politicians America might have the crazies, but it’s got some fairly cool ones too.
The encounter took place during a gathering at the White House, with TIME reporting that the pair discussed hip hop, in particular the influence of jazz legend Herbie Hancock on the art form.
Snoop, who was sporting dreads, shades and a tuxedo, posted the bump on his Instagram page this week.
So when he’s not building bridges in the Middle East or negotiating with Iran over uranium enrichment, Kerry can be found on Pennsylvania Avenue talking music with the D-O Double G.
Now imagine William Hague trying to do the same…
Ye-ah.
