Mel B’s husband Stephen Belafonte has vehemently denied accusations by Twitter users that he had been physically abusive towards his wife.
Fans of the ‘X Factor’ judge grew concerned over the weekend, after she was notably absent from the panel during Saturday night’s live show, with reports claiming she had been hospitalised due to ill health.

However, a string of tweets from Mel’s mother and sister seemed to suggest that the last time they’d spoken to Stephen, he had insisted that she was fine and was not in hospital.
When Mel returned to the show the following night, she was shown not wearing her wedding ring and looking as if she had scratches on her arms.

Fans were quick to speculate on the returning judge's appearance...
However, he has now taken to Twitter to dispel the speculation he had been abusive, branding the claims “disgusting” and “untrue”.
Stephen then hit out at the ‘X Factor’ viewers throwing accusations his way, insisting they wouldn’t be doing that if they were “real fans” of the former Spice Girl.
Mel’s last remaining act, Andrea Faustini, finished in third place in Saturday night’s live show, which it was later reported was the lowest-rated ‘X Factor’ final in a decade.
Ben Haenow was eventually crowned winner the following night, over runner-up Fleur East.
Idon't usually respond to Twitter msgs but I will respond to comments of hitting my wife which I think are quite disgusting un true!
