She cracked two ribs after suffering a fall while skiing, and was advised by medics to quit the show, before it launches in February.

An insider revealed to The Sun that Sally - who is famously married to Commons Speaker John Bercow - was upset to have to leave the series at this stage, saying: “Sally’s gutted. She wanted to continue.”

Sally first made a name for herself after posing for a raunchy photo-shoot wearing just a bedsheet, with the House of Commons in the background.

While she claimed at the time it was meant to be tongue in cheek, she later admitted in a radio interview: “Obviously it has completely backfired on me and I look a complete idiot.”

She later appeared in the first series of ‘Celebrity Big Brother’ after it was bought by Channel 5, where she was the first housemate to be voted out of the series.

Strictly Come Dancing’ professional Ola Jordan was also forced to pull out of ‘The Jump’ due to injury a few weeks ago, after suffering a career-threatening knee injury during training.

She has since been replaced by Chloe Madeley.

Last year’s series of ‘The Jump’ also saw a number of its famous contestants withdraw from the show after injuring themselves, including Melinda Messenger and Olympian Sir Steve Redgrave.

Joey Essex, Louie Spence and Stacey Solomon are all among this year’s participants.
