British hopes have never been higher ahead of this year's Golden Globes, which will be taking place on Sunday evening in Los Angeles.
In a stunning year for film generally, and Brits on screen in particular, three of the five nominees in the Leading Actor in a Film Drama category at the 72nd annual ceremony are home-grown - Messrs Benedict Cumberbatch, David Oyelowo and Eddie Redmayne. Benedict's 'Imitation Game' and Eddie's 'Theory of Everything' co-stars Keira Knightley and Felicity Jones will also be flying the flag, along with Rosamund Pike for her career-turning performance in 'Gone Girl'.
