Another glittering awards season is about to come to a head this weekend, when the biggest names in the film industry strut their stuff on the Oscars red carpet.

Of course we’re looking forward to seeing who takes home this year’s gongs - particularly with so many homegrown stars up for awards, like Benedict Cumberbatch, Eddie Redmayne and Keira Knightley - but we’re also looking forward to checking out the outfits.
Over the decades, the Academy Awards have become synonymous with red carpet glamour, and we can’t wait to see the smart tuxedos and glitzy gowns modelled by this year's nominees.
