The former ‘X Factor’ star, who won the singing competition back in 2005, is reportedly being lined up by soap bosses for a regular role on ‘Corrie’.

“They’ve made moves to try and get him on board and have made it clear they are open to discussions.”

Shayne Ward
Shayne has made no secret of the fact that he’d love a part on the ITV soap, telling his Twitter followers on more than one occasion that he’d be up for it.
“He’s made it clear he’s definitely interested,’ the source continued.
“Talks are ongoing at this stage. They were keen to find out if Shayne would be up for going into TV acting full-time.
“Nothing is confirmed at this point but it is looking hopeful.”
And Shayne himself is doing nothing to dispel the rumours either.
He remained schtum when asked by a fan if the rumours were true but re-tweeted the message and then followed it up with another not-so-cryptic pic of him settling down to watch the Street.
What a tease!
The 30-year-old has already cut his teeth in the acting world, having starred in the West End production of ‘Rock Of Ages’ and was also a part of the ‘War Of The Worlds’ arena tour.
