It’s been a busy old week in showbiz, and with the election coming up, those pesky politicians have been sticking their noses in too.
We’ve had lots of One Direction updates and there have been plenty of funny videos too, and quite frankly, it’s sometimes hard to keep up.

1. Zayn Malik’s Demo Tape (That Wasn’t Actually His Solo Material After All)
The latest development in the continuing saga of Zayn Malik’s life as “normal 22-year-old”, saw a track appearing to be a sample of the singer’s upcoming solo material revealed online.
Of course, things weren’t that simple and hours after it was posted by producer Naughty Boy, ‘I Don’t Mind’ was removed, and a statement revealing that the song was actually a rejected 1D track was released.

‘Great British Bake Off’ star Ruby became our favourite person on Twitter this week, when she came out with one of the best sets of tweets ever. A Motown classic AND taking down misogynist critics? You’ll always be a winner in our eyes, Ruby.

4. Helen Mirren Inhaling Helium With Jimmy Fallon
Our friends across the pond LOVE Dame Helen’s British accent, but Jimmy couldn’t help thinking it could be improved with the addition of helium. And he was right.

5. Ed Miliband Thinks Rosamund Pike Would Be An Amazing James Bond
So far, the election trail has taken this year’s possible leaders to some pleasantly unexpected places, and Ed stopped off for a chat on Magic FM earlier this week, where he revealed that he reckons the ‘Gone Girl’ star would be a fab 007. He makes a pretty strong case too, read it in full here.
