The controversial TV personality teased that he would be appearing on ‘GMB’ last month, enraging die-hard Jeremy Clarkson fans when he teased that he would be “the temporary replacement for a popular male TV presenter on a big UK show”.

Luckily for ‘Top Gear’ lovers, it turned out he was actually talking about Ben Shephard, and made his debut on Monday’s ‘Good Morning Britain’, even keeping his cool when one of his first interviewees dropped an F-bomb on live telly.

Piers also managed to snag himself a few unlikely fans with his new stint on ‘GMB’...

However, a lot of people didn’t exactly seem overjoyed to begin their Monday morning with an image of Piers on their screens.

Luckily, it doesn’t look as though Piers has taken any of the negative criticism aimed at him to heart, and has even publicly responded to some of his detractors on his official Twitter page.

Formerly the editor of The Mirror, in more recent years Piers has made a name for himself as a TV personality, judging 'Britain's Got Talent' and the American equivalent, as well as fronting 'Piers Morgan's Life Stories' in the UK and the now-defunct 'Piers Morgan Live' in the US.

He will be co-presenting ‘Good Morning Britain’ on ITV for the rest of this week.
