In a joint statement, the happy couple added: “We are overjoyed to be expecting our first child in the autumn. Starting a family and moving into this exciting phase of our lives is a blessing for which we are incredibly grateful. We eagerly await the arrival of our little girl.”

Andrew and Katherine tied the knot in September last year, in a lavish ceremony held at Hampton Crown Court.

They announced their engagement in April, just a month after Katherine was honoured with an OBE by the Queen for her charity efforts and contributions to the world of music.

Months after their wedding, she confessed that she was keen to start a family, telling The Mirror: “I do really want a family. Please God, touch wood, we'll be lucky and they'll be fit and healthy.

"That's all I care about."
