Simon Cowell has mocked Russell Brand's calls for a political revolution, telling the comedian he should give some of his money back if he really wants to change the world.
The comedian turned activist has been campaigning against the current government and political system, making appearances on 'Newsnight', 'Question Time' and also holding an event with HuffPost UK to discuss his beliefs.

In an interview with Shortlist, Simon claimed that Russell's protests were hypocritical given his earnings.
"A revolution? He's getting $10 million a movie. I mean, come on!" he said.
When the interviewer told Simon that Russell was acting on the behalf of "the people", he replied: "Of course it is? Well, give your money back then, Russell.
"I always say that about people. Start off as you mean to go on. Donate all the money back to the revolution and then I'll believe it. I'm living in a 10 million dollar mansion and I want a revolution? Give me a break."
Russell recently caused controversy when he labelled David Cameron and George Osborne "filthy, dirty, posh w***ers" who "don't know how to f**k properly".
He said on 'Alan Carr: Chatty Man': "I think if you’re a bit mean and tight, and always cutting benefits and being horrible, it’s because you don’t know how to f*** properly.
"They’re like snickering little posh people, sort of like w***ing into their sock. I think if your job is to look after the country and you don’t care about the people who need it most, you’re out of order. And you’re a filthy, dirty, posh w***er."
