Matt Damon has confirmed that he’ll be returning to the ‘Bourne’ series, with a new film slated for release in 2016.

SEE MORE:

The actor played Jason Bourne in the first three films in the action series, ‘The Bourne Identity’, ‘The Bourne Supremacy’ and ‘The Bourne Ultimatum’.

He walked away from the franchise after the third film, with ‘The Bourne Legacy’, which featured a completely different leading man, and director, upon its release in 2012.

Matt has now revealed that he plans to reprise his role as Jason Bourne for the fourth time, claiming it was the return of the films’ original director Paul Greengrass that made him want to do it.

He told E! News the film would start production “next year”, explaining: “It'll be in 2016 when the movie will actually come out. Paul Greengrass is going to do another one and that's all I ever said. I just needed him to say yes.”

The last time we saw Matt play Jason Bourne was in 2007, where, at the end of ‘The Bourne Ultimatum’ he was seen swimming up New York’s East River after appearing to have been shot.

Since taking time out from the ‘Bourne’ series, Matt has appeared in a range of vastly different roles, starring opposite Reese Witherspoon in the family comedy ‘We Bought A Zoo’, and playing Liberace’s former lover in ‘Behind The Candelabra’, for which he was nominated for a Golden Globe and a Bafta.

He is currently starring in the critically acclaimed ‘Interstellar’, which also boasts an all-star cast of Matthew McConaughey, Anne Hathaway and Jessica Chastain.

Bob Geldof and Midge Ure have confirmed their plans to record Band Aid 30, with all proceeds going towards efforts to stop the spread of Ebola in West Africa.

Bono, Emeli Sande, Sam Smith are also set to join Bob and Midge on Saturday 15 November, when the recording of ‘Do They Know It’s Christmas?’ takes place, along with Sinead O’Connor and Fuse ODG.

Paloma Faith, Foals, Olly Murs and Ellie Goulding are also confirmed as taking part.

Bob revealed that a number of the acts have shifted their schedules especially, including Bastille, who have given up two US arena dates to attend the recording session.

There are a number of stars yet to be confirmed for the project, and Bob is currently waiting to find out whether ‘The Voice’ can rearrange their schedule, so that Rita Ora can take part.

Bob also stated that he has written to David Bowie, asking him to introduce the music video, as he did with the original Band Aid track in 1984.

The single is set for release online on Monday 17 November, while physical copies - including single artwork by Tracey Emin - will be in stores 3 weeks later.

The song will not be available to stream on Spotify until January.

A number of versions of the track will be available, including remixes by Disclosure and Underworld.

Speaking of their decision to assemble an all-star group and record the track, Bob stated: “There was quite a lot of pressure on me and Midge to do it.

“Three weeks ago, I received a call from the UN, stating that they needed 20% more across the board, [in terms of] resources and personnel.

“It has nothing to do with nostalgia.”

The Boomtown Rats singer also revealed that the track’s lyrics have been altered and updated.

“We’ve retweaked the lyrics so they are less about hunger, but Band Aid still says ‘feed the world’.”

Nicki Minaj is no stranger to a spot of controversy when it comes to her music videos but she really has surpassed herself with the lyric video to her latest single 'Only'.

READ MORE:

The US rapper is portrayed as a Hitler-like dictator in the clip, which quickly had viewers pointing out the similarities with Nazi imagery.

In the animated feature, buildings can be seen draped in swastika-style 'YM' banners in reference to the US star's record label, Young Money.

The black and white video also features gas masks and bombs, with the only colour coming from what looks like a red Nazi-inspired arm band.

Within hours of the video being made available on YouTube, viewers called for the 31-year-old star to remove it.

One wrote: "I really do love you but your video for "only" is really not okay. Pls do better and take it down or apologize or SOMETHING."

Another tweeted: "The lyric video for Only by Nicki Minaj is indescribable. Who the hell thought a Nazi theme was a good idea?"

Grayson Perry Who Are You? At National Portrait Gallery

2014-11-08-NPG_893_1333_TheAshfordHija.jpg

Celebrated artist Grayson Perry has been examining identity and how we define ourselves in his programme on Channel 4, Who Are You? The 14 works of art he created off the back of the interviews and experiences he had on this journey are now on show in a free exhibition at the National Portrait Gallery.

But rather than hive these works of art off into a separate exhibition with admission charges, the Gallery has scattered the pieces throughout its free galleries and visitors are encouraged to follow a trail that connects one piece of art to the next. It's like an extraordinary treasure hunt.

The trail starts with Grayson's self-portrait, Map of Days, an examination of his own identity. But this is no obvious literal depiction of himself. Instead Grayson shows his mind as a fortified town and inside the walls is a crazy, fluid mind map filled with concepts and contradictions. And intriguingly, Grayson has left the centre of this fort, the nucleus, blank - a clear, open space.

Each piece on display has a few comments from Grayson alongside and as he comments here, he sees identity as "a lifelong shifting performance." Our identity always evolving, always changing.

2014-11-08-NPG_893_1334_TheHuhneVase20.jpg

For Who Are You?, Grayson met with people from different backgrounds who were at a crossroads or crisis in their own identity to listen to them and then make works that try to capture each of them in a single, revealing image.

The variety of mediums Grayson has used is impressive with tapestries, ceramics and brass figures all on show.

Melanie, Georgina and Sarah is a collection of three ceramic figures where Grayson has taken the familiar outlines of goddesses of fertility, with their big stomachs and generous curves, and subverted these for the modern age. Back in time, these symbols of fertility were highly desirable but to modern eyes these figures seem overweight, even obese. The figures haven't changed but our opinions of them have.

Memory Jar is a very powerful piece. Christopher has Alzheimer's, an incurable disease that is destroying his memory, robbing not just him but also his partner Veronica of their shared memories, their life together. Here Grayson has Christopher's memory as shards, fragments, jagged edged images that are jumbled together. The piece is angry and chaotic and quite profound.

2014-11-08-NPG_893_1336_TheEarlofEssex.jpg

There is a real sense of provocation in Britain is Best, a bright tapestry that Grayson made after meeting members of the Ulster Volunteer Force (UVF) in Belfast. The tapestry is styled like a banner often used in UVF marches. Only Grayson has subverted the aggression of the UVF with his use of vivid pinks and the quite idealised, romantic image of five people on the back of a prancing blue and red horse wearing a crown.

The Ashford Hijab I found fascinating. I hadn't imagined that young white women converting to Islam was common but apparently it is. Here Grayson investigates what push and pull factors exist for a woman wanting to make such a profound move. On this screen printed silk, the young woman is leaving behind a world dominated by consumerism and binge drinking for a community of strong sisterhood.

Whatever you think about it, celebrity is deeply entrenched in our modern culture. People desire it, many see it as an ambition in itself. We are not the first generation to suffer with this but in our world of You-Tube and reality TV shows, fame can be immediate and obtained without a notable or worthy achievement.

Grayson looks at this in The Earl of Essex, an Elizabethan-style mini portrait of Rylan Clark, a previous contestant of The X Factor who also won Celebrity Big Brother. Rylan has been very open about his pursuit of celebrity and it's interesting how Grayson has added a reflective surface to his portrait - a reminder of the shiny surface of our modern smartphones.

2014-11-08-NPG_893_1335_IamaMan2014Cou.jpg

There's real tenderness in I am a Man, a small patinated brass figure of young female-to-male transsexual Alex. The piece reflects Peter Pan, Alex's favourite fictional character which, in turn, has echoes of unusual identity - the boy who never grew up and a male character that is often played by women. The style of the piece also has a nod to some of Perry's favourite sculptures, the Benin bronzes of West Africa.

This exhibition is wonderful, a brilliant collection of pieces that provoke and challenge. Given how well-known Grayson Perry has become, it's sadly easy for many to knock him so this collection is a timely reminder of how talented Grayson is. Away from the television screen you can see his artistry and the layers in his work for yourself to appreciate the artist behind the dress. Glorious and highly recommended.

History, Fools and Russell Brand

Lots of people think historians spend their time in libraries blowing dust off books no one else has (wanted to) read, looking for false doors in grand houses that hide undiscovered manuscripts, or tracking down nice pensioners who used to crack codes during the war at Bletchley Park. Sometimes the fun and action is much closer than you might think.

I've been thinking recently about deviance in the Middle Ages - about those on the periphery of society. Rather than look at kings, bishops and elites, I've been looking at those who either opted out or were rejected by their peers. Some had physical disabilities and/or suffered from diseases that were incurable; others, evidently, had serious mental health issues. These were cruel times for those whose conditions could not be treated or even understood.

But this week, I've had most fun working on fools and eccentrics. And lo and behold, just as I was wondering how to best approach this topic, I opened the newspapers, turned on the TV, listened to the radio and checked Twitter. And there, before my very eyes and ears, was the composite of a man I'd been reading about in a range of sources.

I wonder if you can work out who this reminds you of?

It was unbelievable, wrote Paul of Hellas in the 6th century, that people could be taken in by men who talked quickly and claimed to understand the world around them. Their offers to share their 'wisdom' was laughable, he added: while some listeners were foolish enough to mistake silver-tongued words for intelligence, others understood they were complete nonsense. Such men gave the impression of brilliance and the promise of enlightenment, but in reality offered nothing but empty words.

Celebrity culture is not new to the digital age. One and a half thousand years ago, there were plenty of commentators who threw their hands in the air in bewilderment at the way that poseurs gained followings. St Neilos of Sinai, for example, could not bear the fact that towns and villages were 'groaning' with late antique versions of the cast of Made in Chelsea, X Factor finalists and Russell Brand.

Such people were idiots, according to Neilos, prancing about and posing 'aimlessly and pointlessly'; it was incredible to see them become famous. Who in their right mind, he wonders, would be taken in by hypocritical pseuds and their inane commentaries on contemporary life? As a 6th century Dermot O'Leary would have put it today, 'The Public Have Spoken.' And you can't argue with that.

Other commentators were bewildered by how such supposed sages looked and what they sounded like. Niketas Khoniates could barely hide his incredulity at seeing men with 'bloodshot eyes' and 'completely wild hair' talking centre stage. They were listened to despite the fact that they did not talk, but 'screamed ecstatically as if if stark-raving mad.'

Those urging their own equally ill-conceived version of change and 'Revolution' were fools, wrote authors - echoing David Aaronovitch's epic take-down in The Times this week.

They were obnoxious in person too, hiding the fact that they were wealthy while giving the impression of poverty and concern for the poor. Such men went to great lengths to look the part of holy men - because it suited their act well. Those awful black clothes were an obvious sign of a fool, noted the Life of St. Eunapios in the 5th century. They dressed like monks and holy men, but were driven by the pursuit of pleasure and the desire to satisfy passions.

One such figure infuriated a questioner who challenged his views. The man 'did not answer, but simply lifted his right hand to heaven as if to say 'God spoke to me''.

What annoyed observers most however was the grip that such vacuous figures had on the local population. It was frightening, noted one 5th century writer, that men who were charlatans had a 'power that verged on tyranny' on the general public.

As Paul of Hellas put it, 6th century versions of Russell Brand were obsessed by the need 'to satisfy their own vanity and to fan their thirst for widespread popularity.' Attention-seekers one and a half thousand years ago would say anything to get attention. It seems not much has changed.

The X Factor 2014 MJ vs Queen

The spooky costumes and eerie backdrops have been packed away for another year and this weekend we move on with a Michael Jackson vs Queen theme.

Last weekend we sadly lost Team Midas' brilliant Lola Saunders, now leaving Only The Young and Ben Haenow.

Dancing Dermot was back and hold on, some of the judges still think its Halloween. Please take off those masks...oh wait a minute. Always time for a bit of humour!

So with the acts 'Under Pressure' will any of them be 'Bad'...here we go.

After a couple of negative weeks Paul Akister needs a good week and, without sounding like a broken record, he is vocally amazing, I would never ever doubt that. Would I want to see him in concert? No. I just don't feel he is connecting. Louis said, "you are an amazing singer."  Simon said, "If you're miserable, we are miserable, if you are happy, we are happy."

Ex soldier Jay James had a bad week after he lost his voice and I think this affected his performance. It wasn't bad but the pressure and stress was wrote all over his face. Mel B said, "she wasn't feeling it." Simon said, "it's very rare you get a second chance."

The Essex wonder, aka Lauren Platt, looks like a popstar and sounds like a popstar. I love her. Vocally bang on every week. A certain finalist in my opinion. Great job. Louis said,"you look like.." eh hold on, that's what I said. Give me a job Simon. Cheryl said, "it just shows how much of a professional you are, at your age to deliver like that."

Team Midas' Only The Young are getting stronger and stronger every week. Their energy and enthusiasm just oozes from the stage. Great chemistry, faultless singing and they look fantastic. 10/10. Simon said, "Somethings happening in the air with you guys." Louis said,"we need this band in the competition."

Ben Haenow takes up a lot of time, with family, friends and business colleagues always telling me how much they like him and his voice. Tonight, in any one's books Ben, was world class. To take on a Michael Jackson classic (Man in the Mirror) and sing the first minute totally acapella, takes a lot of guts. Ben you nailed it. Mel B said, "your vocals were too exposed." eh? are you watching the same thing Mel? Simon said, "we are seeing a star potentially being born."

Whose following on from world class Ben...Stevi. Oh dear. Well, now the competition is hotting up, nice and entertaining goes out the window. The staging was good. That's it. Louis said "The David Brent of The X Factor."

After being in the bottom two for the second time Stereo Kicks need to not only give a good showing but they also need to start connecting with the voting public. When they are stripped back, it's amazing. Hold on, whose that on the stage? Have the eight become nine?  Mel B said, "this is your best performance to date"

Fleur East has the whole package and since judges houses, she has come from nowhere to now become one of the favourites for the X Factor crown. This was a tremendous and one of my performances of the night. Cheryl said, "people will throughly enjoy you on the tour." Simon said, "you are a great singer."

Last up was Italian stallion Andrea Faustini. I am fast running out of things to say about Andrea. Amazing, brilliant, fantastic are just a few to describe this vocal. Book a room for finals night, because you are a cert. Great end to the show. Louis said, "It's my favourite performance of the whole series." Mel B said, "you have super stardom"

In 24 hours 'Another one bites the dust...people of the UK it's over to you.

Right, I'm off to join the Stereo Kicks...see you next week.

One Direction fans might be a bit shocked to see the band’s latest performance venue of choice, which is decidedly different from their usual haunts.

While 1D are used to performing in stadiums, their next gig will be in Albert Square, when they perform at the ‘EastEnders’ set for Children In Need.

one direction eastenders
This is, obviously, exactly what 1D will look like in Walford

The world exclusive performance will see Niall Horan, Harry Styles, Liam Payne, Louis Tomlinson and Zayn Malik perform their brand new song ‘Night Changes’, ahead of the release of their fourth album ‘Four’, on Monday 17 November.

The band have shared their excitement ahead of the special gig, stating: “We are thrilled to be performing on BBC Children in Need again this year.

“It’s a charity that we hold very close to our hearts and we are really excited about our special performance in the iconic ‘EastEnders’ Albert Square.”

We’re hoping that a few of the soap’s stars - in character, of course - are in Walford for the performance.

Perhaps Harry could stop off and get his headband washed in the laundrette, or maybe Liam and Niall could join the Carters for a good old-fashioned, East End knees-up.

Directioners aren’t the only fans who are in for a treat on Friday though, as S Club 7 will finally reunite for a special performance on the show.

‘EastEnders’ star Adam Woodyatt will also be the focus of a special sketch, which will see his character Ian Beale come to face-to-face with the ghosts of his past.

Watch the BBC Children In Need appeal show from 7.30pm on BBC1, on Friday 14 November to see all the action.

'Casualty' actress Rebekah Gibbs has died at the age of 41 after a long battle with cancer, her agent has confirmed.

Rebekah played paramedic Nina Farr on the BBC soap between 2004 and 2006, appearing in more than 100 episodes.

Prior to her role on 'Casualty' she had also appeared in 'The Bill' on ITV.

Her agent Belfield and Ward tweeted the news: "Darling Rebekah Gibbs, a true inspiration and dazzling light, never to be forgotten."

She left 'Casualty' to start a family and had a daughter, Gigi, in 2008.

Just weeks before giving birth she discovered a lump in her breast and was later told that she had a particularly aggressive cancer.

She wrote about her experience in a weekly column for the Daily Mirror, saying the exact moment she found the lump was one that would stay with her forever.

"I close my eyes, and I am right back there, in front of the TV, feeling petrified as I desperately run my finger above my baby bump and under my breast, willing the lump to disappear," she wrote.

"That crushing fear has stayed with me. It's with me every day."

The actress was given the five year all-clear from cancer in April, and said at the time that she was 'really content' to have reached the milestone.

However in August she had a seizure and was diagnosed with two brain tumours.

Speaking in April she said: "I was in Devon with my family when I had a huge seizure.

"Within an hour I was in A&E. I was quickly diagnosed with two brain tumours, plus one in the neck and a lesion on my lung."

'Coronation Street' star Hayley Tamaddon' and actor James Redmond, who starred alongside the actress in 'Casualty', have taken to Twitter to pay their respects.

Rebekah is survived by her husband Ashley Pitman and her daughter Gigi, aged six.

Was Dapper Just Having A Laugh? Speculation Rife After Daniel O'Reilly 'Kills Off' Character

The comedian behind Dapper Laughs, Daniel O’Reilly, has said his controversial “character” is “gone”, but that hasn't stopped speculation about whether this is truly the end of his controversial and short-lived television career.

The self-styled comedian and internet celebrity who had his show pulled this week by ITV2 after a massive sexism controversy told Newsnight last night that he has killed off the character.

Appearing in a sombre black polo neck, and looking almost unrecognisable, O'Reilly told the BBC programme's presenter Emily Maitlis he regretted the offence he had caused,

"It was a type of comedy I shouldn't have been doing," he said. "I'm not going to do what maybe other comedians would do and stand behind it and say, 'Do you know what, if you don't like it switch off'.

"I'm not going to say that. I don't agree with it. I don't want to be seen as that. It's a shame that it went so far."

But many viewers were quick to query the sincerity of O'Reilly's apology.

Others were more supportive of the comedian:

But most of the attention seemed to be focused on his choice of clothing:

The comedian admitted he had allowed himself to get "carried away" with his own success, original finding fame on social media. "From the beginning, it caught on really quick that it was really popular for a certain demographic. I didn't think so many people would end up seeing it, and I got a little bit carried away with it, to be honest.

"At the time when we were doing it, it was getting so much praise and growing and growing, it took over me a little bit. Obviously I don't think that, I'm taking the mick out of what I think men think," he insisted.

Maitlis asked if he can see why people might imitate his rape jokes and intimidation of women. "Potentially, of course," he replied. "But to me, I was creating this character, and I was really pushing the boundaries because it was popular. I thought people were thinking it was ridiculous."

Dapper said that the last few days had caused him immense difficulty. "It was great at the beginning, now it's completely ruined everything. Do you think looking at me know that I would go out and do that? I was creating a character.

"That makes me sad to think if someone would do that [threatened a woman with a knife to show her breasts], I would be responsible. It's wrecked my life to a certain extent."

STORY CONTINUES BELOW

Dapper said that he did not resent ITV2 for cancelling the show. "I felt blessed for the first series," he said, insisting it had been his decision to cancel all his live shows. 'This morning I decided I don't want to carry on with Dapper Laughs. I look at it now, and the emotion that it has done, and the media have done in the last four days, I didn't realise that I was causing that much of a problem."

Maitlis pushed him on what was the future for the character. "Dapper Laughs is gone," he replied. "My family have spoken to me about it. I am not going to allow Dapper Laughs to represent me. I am going to stop it and stop it being promoted."

Gemma Collins has admitted that she’s “petrified” of going into the ‘I’m A Celebrity’ jungle, but says she’s looking forward to potentially losing weight during her time on the show.

MORE 'I'M A CELEBRITY':

The ‘TOWIE’ cast member - who has now landed in Australia ahead of this year’s launch - reckons she’s scared of “every single creepy crawly going” and has “only got to see an animal on TV” to start screaming.

However, Gemma claims there is one aspect of the ‘I’m A Celeb’ experience that she’s looking forward to, saying: “The one good thing about going in the jungle is I will hopefully lose some weight!"

gemma collins

She has also revealed that she initially didn’t realise how intense her stay in the jungle was going to be, claiming she thought producers might even slip them some food when the cameras weren’t rolling.

Gemma explains: “I am dreading being hungry too. When they said you would be starving, I thought it was a joke. I thought they would give you a can of Diet Coke or a mini Mars bar to keep the sugar up but they don’t.”

Afraid not, Gemma. The producers are, quite literally, not giving you any of their candy.

And while former ‘TOWIE’ stars Mark Wright and Joey Essex both quit the docusoap before they headed Down Under, GC insists that she’ll be back causing more drama in Essex next series.

She adds: “I am missing the Christmas special but I will be back. I am not leaving ‘TOWIE’ and when everyone finds out, I know they will be pleased for me. We are all very supportive of each other.

“I do hope people see a different side to me. This is a chance for me to be me. I am not 100 percent confident and I think sometimes people think of me as a crazy, shouty woman!”

The new series of ‘I’m A Celebrity, Get Me Out Of Here’ kicks off on 16 November, and this is who will be taking part...

'The Fall's Gillian Anderson Reveals Her Fear Of Coming Face To Face, Finally, With Jamie Dornan

Gillian Anderson reveals there is a scene in the second series of ‘The Fall’ which will delight audiences, but one she was particularly nervous about filming – one in which detective Stella Gibson and serial killer Paul Spector finally come face to face, which means she finally got to share screen time with her co-star Jamie Dornan.

“I was nervous about getting it right,” she admits to Huffington Post UK.

“It was interesting when we were shooting that scene that we did shoot, how to work out what the relationship was, because it felt like we had a relationship, and it consisted of a couple of phone calls.

“As much as it was on the page, there was a certain pressure to get that balance right, also based on who they are, what they come with, how their relationship has formed.”

Jamie Dornan credits writer Alan Cubitt for creating chemistry between the pair without them meeting, and agrees about their ultimate encounter, saying, “It was quite a big moment.”

Gillian Anderson and Jamie Dornan are back for more dark drama in 'The Fall' Series 2

‘The Fall’s first series drew record audiences to BBC2 when it aired (currently available on BBCiPlayer if you need to catch up before Thursday), and it sounds as though both crew and cast have pulled out the stops to ensure they’ll be staying for the second.

“It’s definitely the hunt and the psychology, and our team are properly looking into the motivation as the clues start to come in,” Gillian says of the police side of the two-handed production, which stands apart from other crime dramas in identifying the killer from the start, and telling his story, separately and in parallel. “How we put that together, how it is that we end up having the scene that we have together is quite a compelling journey.”

the fall
Gillian Anderson says we'll see more personal aspects of Stella Gibson in the new series

‘The Fall’s first series faced accusations of misogyny in its treatment, and number, of female victims, something stoutly denied by writer Alan Cubitt, who’s also directing Series 2. Here are Gillian’s own robust thoughts on the matter…

“For me, Alan more than anybody else has had an extraordinary understanding of that type of violence, his desire to represent violence that does happen to women in the world at large is based in truth, and as you can tell with everything else in his scripts, he writes sparely, and there is nothing gratuitous in his scripts.

“If you are awake enough and look closely, you will see that the balance of humanity and the conscious representation of the tragedy of these events and the impact that this kind of violence has historically is very acute and, to me, that represents it in a completely different way from what I’ve seen before, or what it could be accused of representing.”

As well as starring, Gillian has taken up producer duties for this second series, and admits she’s delighted by the extra clout this has given her.

“I’m very opinionated, especially during the filming,” she admits, “and it’s nice when you’re as involved as I am in this, it’s nice to feel that I can speak up about something and people will take that on board, which they always have from the beginning, rather than rolling their eyes and waiting for me to shut up.”

'Dalziel and Pascoe' star Warren Clarke has died aged 67, his agent has confirmed today.

The popular northern actor became a household name for his role in TV crime series 'Dalziel and Pascoe' which ran for years in a primetime slot from its beginning in 1996. He played Detective Superintendent Andy Dalziel opposite Colin Buchanan as Pascoe. The show ran until 2007.

He told the Daily Mail in 2011 that he was "a lucky bastard, although I've worked nearly fifty years for this". Born in Lancashire, he made his debut television appearance in 'Coronation Street', first playing character Kenny Pickup in 1966, and later as Gary Bailey in 1968.

His first big screen appearance came in Stanley Kubrick's 'Clockwork Orange', sharing screen time with Malcolm McDowell.

In a career lasting a further four decades and more, he appeared in all sorts of different TV and film productions, from 'The Breaking of Bumbo' in 1970 to playing a Russian in Clint Eastwood's 'Firefox' in 1982. Despite receiving some big screen offers, he turned his back on Hollywood, decrying it as false.

His most memorable TV appearances include playing gay 'Sophie' Dixon in epic drama series 'Jewel in the Crown', and in 'Blackadder: The Cavalier Years', the family series 'Down to Earth' from 2000 to 2003, and in the BBC big-budget drama 'Bleak House'. He also appeared in 'The Invisibles' and dark trilogy 'Red Riding'.

This year, he had been filming a new series of 'Poldark' in which he played Charles Poldark.

Away from the screen, he was a keen golfer and committed fan of Manchester City Football Club. He leaves his wife Michele, daughter Georgia and son Rowan by his first marriage.

'Hollyoaks' star Gemma Merna has shared her thoughts on the show's #EndOfTheLine storyline, insisting that she wasn’t disappointed to learn her character’s fate.

In Tuesday night’s First Look episode, fans saw Gemma’s character Carmel McQueen tragically die in a train crash and now, the actress has commended bosses for supplying her with a dramatic exit.

Digital Spy reports that when asked if she was disappointed about being killed off, Gemma replied: "No, not at all. I've been in the show for eight years and I decided at the beginning of the year that I wanted to move on to some new projects and find myself a little bit.

"When I found out about this storyline, I just thought it was amazing. It was the perfect way to end Carmel and say goodbye, and for the McQueen family to carry on.”

While Gemma is yet to reveal what she has planned for the future, it’s rumoured she could be a surprise addition to the ‘I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here’ camp.

Sadly, Carmel isn’t the only McQueen departing the show, as Jennifer Metcalfe, who plays Mercedes McQueen, is also leaving the soap.

Fans are still waiting to see Mercedes’ fate, and there has been plenty of speculation over whether she’ll die.

Watch 'Hollyoaks' on Channel 4 at 6.30pm tonight to see the action unfold.

'Wow No Cow:' Oatly CEO Toni Petersson Extols Virtues Of Oat Milk In Quirky Video

You may find yourself wondering what Oatly’s CEO, Toni Petersson, is doing in a field of oats with a 1980s synth in his latest Toni TV video.

Singing a song he wrote on his own, "Wow No Cow," Petersson, wearing a "No Artificial Badness" T-shirt, wants to spread the brand's message about growing, harvesting, picking and turning oats into "liquid goodness" to drink and eat to a wider online audience and explain what Oatly is about.

Filmed in the oat fields between Halmstad and Göteborg in western Sweden, where Oatly HQ is located, and created by award-winning agency Forsman & Bodenfors, the off-beat video vocalises Oatly's mission of responsibly creating healthy, plant-based products that minimise environmental impact.

"I’m working at a company where the sole purpose of what we do is to make it easy for people to turn what they eat and drink into personal moments of healthy joy without recklessly taxing the planet’s resources in the process. That feels pretty good," says Petersson.

Founded in the early 1990s, Oatly uses only Swedish-grown oats for its range of protein and fibre-rich oat products, which include a calcium and vitamin-enriched oat drink, flavoured oat drinks (chocolate, chai, apple pear and orange mango) and yogurt, cream, and ice cream products, all made with an oat base instead of dairy.

Forget almonds, soy, rice (and most of all cows) and check out Oatly CEO Toni Petersson in action singing, "Wow no cow" in this video.

"When they first told me they wanted me to sing a song in an oat field I seriously thought they were kidding. How could that ever work to tell our story? I didn’t originally have time to write a song so they wrote one for me and I really hated it - don’t they think I have any creative integrity?" asks Petersson.

"So I wrote something I felt I could put my name on and then went out in the middle of the oat field with a synth from the 80s and tried to play it."

During an interview on Wednesday’s ‘This Morning', reigning King of the Jungle Kian Egan revealed: “The public will decide [the celebrities'] fate before they’ve even stepped foot into the jungle!

"So, Group A and Group B - the public will decide which group they want to face the ‘celebrity slammer’ - a jungle-style jail. And one of these will face the first Bushtucker Trial as well.”

Kian spilled the beans on 'This Morning'

After announcing details of the first big twist of the series, Kian admitted that he was feeling for the celebrities, having been in their exact position a year ago.

He explained: “At this point they have been taken out of society, they have had their mobile phones taken off them, they are locked in a hotel room, so they have no idea who else is out there - they have no clue what is going on!

“My advice for them? Stay calm and be yourself.”

Details of how you can vote can be found on ITV’s website, ahead of the series launch on 16 November.

Khloe Kardashian has angered fans, by posting a meme of herself and her sisters Kourtney and Kim Kardashian, which features a reference to the KKK.

The ‘Keeping Up With The Kardashians’ star posted the pic - which contains the words “The only KKK to ever let black men in” - on Instagram, but it wasn’t long before outraged fans began commenting.

The photo has now been removed

Khloe later removed the snap, however, by then many fans had already taken a screengrab of the picture.

Hundreds of fans have taken to Twitter to discuss the snap, with many stating Khloe should apologise, while others have raised the question of whether the post is racist.

“I'm sorry but @khloekardashian is dumb for that KKK comment. That's not funny and I'm a fan!!!,” writes one Twitter user, while another adds: “Khloe Kardashian posting "the only KKK to ever let black men in" joke is wild tasteless.”

However a handful of users think people are overreacting:

Khloe’s controversial post has (almost) stolen the limelight from her sister Kim, who revealed the results of her latest naked photoshoot earlier today.

While Khloe is facing serious criticism, many fans have made light of Kim’s nude shoot, creating memes featuring her mag cover.
