$

Meryl Streep has been known to transform herself on screen - from Margaret Thatcher to Karen Blixen, via a Jewish rabbi - but this may be her most out-there effort yet.

While she previously belted out some ABBA tunes for the screen version of 'Mamma Mia', this is a whole new gig, with the Oscar winner playing a hard-rocking singer and guitarist in 'Ricki and the Flash'.

Watch Meryl in action in our Exclusive Clip above...

As Ricki Rendazzo, she is a guitar heroine who followed her dreams of rock and roll stardom, but tripped over a few people along the way. Returning home, she gets a shot at redemption and a chance to make things right with her family.

As someone who’s spotted out of clothes more than she is in them, Miley Cyrus hardly needed an excuse to whip everything off when she hit the beach recently.

Not content with parading around naked in front of holidaymakers, the ‘Wrecking Ball’ singer decided to share a picture of herself posing completely starkers on the sand, with her fans on Instagram.

Oh, Miley.

A photo posted by Miley Cyrus (@mileycyrus) on

Luckily, her blushes (and our own) were spared thanks to some creative use of emojis, and the star used a massive pair of lips and teeth to cover her chest.

Surprisingly, there was no tongue, as is usually the case with the twerking singer.

Miley then covered her more, ahem, intimate area with a giant afro, complete with a comb stuck in it.

Another pic she posted showed the singer topless leaning into a car, with funny doggie emojis acting as nipple covers.

Miley recently announced she is returning to the MTV VMAs, as the host of this year’s ceremony.

She caused a storm when she performed at the show with Robin Thicke in 2013, thanks to her saucy twerking. What will she get up to this time around? Your guess is as good as ours...

Charlie Hunnam fans have been given their first look at the actor as King Arthur, in a new cover shoot for Entertainment Weekly.

READ MORE:

The actor, who famously quit the ‘Fifty Shades Of Grey’ movie, will star as the monarch in a new Guy Ritchie-directed film, 'Knights Of The Roundtable: King Arthur', which is due to hit cinemas in July 2016.

In the snap, Charlie’s staring straight into the camera, and to be honest, we’re hoping there are plenty of close-ups on his dreamy blue eyes in the movie.

Charlie has opened up to the mag about the role, revealing that while the setting might be slightly different to Guy’s other work, it’s still a “classic Guy Ritchie” movie.

“He’s a little bit rough around the edges, but he’s basically a survivor,” he said of his character.

“He’s a hustler. He’s a street kid. There’s definitely a harder edge to him than people would imagine.”

Charlie will lead a star-studded cast in the film, and other actors who’ve nabbed parts include Jude Law, Eric Bana and Cara Delevingne’s older sister Poppy.

Eminem Makes Transphobic Slurs About Caitlyn Jenner In Freestyle Rap

Eminem has taken aim at Caitlyn Jenner, using transphobic slurs in a freestyle rap.

The controversial rapper spat out vile lyrics about the star, who recently went through a gender transition, as he appeared on US show ‘Sway In The Morning’.

During the foul-mouthed appearance, he rapped: "Heat seeking missile duck, demented sick see who gives a f***. I invented p**** and this a true statement, I see the b**ch in you, Caitlyn.

"I keep the pistol tucked like Bruce Jenner's d***. No disrespect though not at all, no pun intended that took a lot of balls."

“No disrespect though”? Oh, so that makes it ok then, Marshall.

Sadly, however, Eminem isn’t the only star who has made disgusting comments about Caitlyn.

When she introduced herself to the world on the cover of Vanity Fair in June, Tom Cruise and Nicole Kidman’s son Connor made a series offensive comments about the reality star.

Speaking of the announcement she was to receive the Arthur Ashe Courage Award at this year’s ESPY Awards, Connor wrote: “Really? Winning the AA award for courage? Ashton is gonna come out and yell PUNK’D.

“Don’t get me wrong. Do what you feel like doing and don’t let anyone stop you. But everyone is taking this way too seriously…

"There are so many more important things that should be talked about … And SO MANY MORE IMPORTANT PEOPLE that actually deserve an award."

Connor went on to add that he was “totally supportive of people staying true to themselves” but thought “there are just way more things that we as a nation and as a planet should be talking about and working on”.

However, she has received a huge wave of support from other parts of the showbiz world, with 'Orange Is The New Black' star Laverne Cox recently meeting with Caitlyn after voicing her admiration for her on Twitter.

'Southpaw' Review - Jake Gyllenhaal Is Mesmerising As Boxer Billy Hope, But His Real Power Is Outside The Ring

In case you hadn’t heard (in between details of his jaw-dropping workout preparations and his trips to Greggs for baguettes), Jake Gyllenhaal stars in ‘Southpaw’, a contemporary but classic tale of riches to rags to possible redemption for boxer Billy Hope.

Billy seemingly has it all - beautiful wife and child, an all-seeing agent, and the blingtastic rewards that come with boxing supremacy. On one harrowing night, however, it all goes tragically wrong, and Billy is left with, quite literally, nothing, which is bizarre but strangely believable, the way director Antoine Fuqua handles the transition.

southpaw
Jake Gyllenhaal with Forest Whitaker in 'Southpaw'

Where can Billy turn? A boxing club in a beaten-down neighborhood, and the quietly powerful presence of amateur boxing trainer Tick Wills, played by Forest Whitaker, safely scooping up the sage bystander baton from Morgan Freeman in ‘Million Dollar Baby’.

Fans of boxing films from ‘Rocky’ to ‘Raging Bull’ will be able to set their watches by the training montages, but what sets this film on a par with the latter is Jake Gyllenhaal’s central, towering performance. Much has been said of the intense commitment he put his body through for the boxing matches - and certainly we feel every punch - but the real power of his tour de force as Billy actually lies outside the ring, when he realises how little he has to his name, when he’s humiliated by his former agent, a glistening-eyed 50 Cent, when he’s humbled by his fumbling attempts to be a good father to a little girl.

The scenes with his daughter are properly heart-breaking, proving once again all we know of Jake Gyllenhaal’s powers in bringing his intense humanity to the screen. Billy Hope is a broken man, and we can only root for him to find his way home.

'Southpaw' is in UK cinemas from today. Watch the trailer below...

This fab Tumblr page, 'Hypernatural Maelstrom', has recreated the posters for ‘Batman’, ‘Superman’ and ‘Iron Man’, placing classic silver screen legends such as Humphrey Bogart, Cary Grant and Katharine Hepburn in the lead role.

But our favourite? Marilyn Monroe as Power Girl. Never was a part made for an actress more.

Now if only we had a time machine to make all of these films happen...

Mudslinging on Twitter

$
0
0
She is considered the most influential female rapper of all time. He is has less sheen than a dog-eared copy of The Ragged Trouser Philanthropists. But it turns out that Nicki Minaj and the Labour leader hopeful Jeremy Corbyn have one thing in common. Both have shown this week that twitter thrives on good old mudslinging.

For Minaj it was personal. What started with a tweet about the exclusion of her video from the VMAs turned into a frosty exchange that dangled racial and gender issues above a fan-charged pressure cooker. The intervention of Taylor Swift demonstrated the ego of she-who-brought-Apple-to-its-knees, and PoVs offered from Katy Perry to Piers Morgan ensured that this (non)issue spread out from social to old media - and back again. But despite invoking sensitive themes the end result was a mélange of misunderstanding. Rather than functioning as a forum for exploring points of view twitter seems to exaggerate difference due to an economic style that can be tone-deaf to nuance or irony.

The fame of Minaj and co of course raised the exchange above the average online spat. But as the case of Corbyn shows, a man who only a month ago was little known outside of North London Marxist reading groups, there are other factors at play. On Wednesday the parsimonious socialist even managed to out-trend the launch of the new Bond film trailer.

It doesn't matter that Corbyn himself is not a particularly active presence (four tweets so far this week). As the 'big beasts' of Labour queue up to warn of the dangers of a Corb-win the energised fight back of #JezWeCan kicked in. Both sides spurred on each other's vehemence without taking time to meet the other half way. Soundbites, such as Blair's call for Corbynites to have a heart transplant, inspired similar levels of ire from the candidate's supporters. Within minutes slurs against the former PM's lucrative contracts and property deals began trending, showing once again the fascinating toxicity of Labour's most electorally successful leader.

Leaving aside the dubious polling, the final leg of the campaign will - as with the Scottish referendum- likely see the triumph (just) of the pragmatic status quo against Corbyn. But like the referendum the damage will have been done. People who have had their vote wrested from them by fear will in future be tight-fisted with their goodwill. Twitter as always is the ground on which these thwarted hopes were most vibrant. The site of course is far from representative of the public as a whole- about 2% in fact. For the purposes of historical record this discrepancy makes it so dangerous. The tweeted history of the Scottish referendum is one of nationalist point scoring and HMG dirty tricks.

What we take away from both the Jezzbollah insurgency (as Blairite hysteria puts it) and the clash Minajerie is that being heard on social media if often a bruising business. Other stories have had their seconds in the sun - literally in the case of the Liz Heil scoop - but it is the spats and rifts that really sustain interest. The argument itself doesn't need to advance as long as more figures are drawn in to declare their colours. The irony is that for those who stand against Corbyn or think that Minaj is, to quote Morgan, 'a stroppy little piece of work', wading into the argument is counterintuitive. If they really wanted to neuter their antagonists they should simply take their beef offline.

Nicki Minaj appeared on ‘Good Morning America’ on Friday, where of course, she was asked to give her side of the story following *that* Twitter spat with Taylor Swift.

Fans who thought Nicki and Tay might not be pals for a while are in for a surprise, because according to Nicki, the two stars have already laughed the incident off.

Nicki insisted there's no bad blood (sorry)

Speaking the show’s host Lara Spencer, Nicki explained: “We’re all good. I spoke to Taylor Swift yesterday on the phone.

“She was super, super sweet and she apologised. She said, 'Look, you know I didn't understand the big picture of what you were saying, but now I get it, so we're all good.'"

Nicki went on to explain the Twitter rant that led Taylor to think she was lashing out, reiterating that she was making aiming her remarks at MTV, following the 2015 VMAs nomination announcement.

"I posted something on my Instagram and it just showed the stats of other videos that had been nominated previously, and it just seemed to be a little funny business going on,” she said. “'Anaconda' had such a huge cultural impact, and on top of that, we broke the Vevo record.

“This is actually my third time breaking the Vevo record and 'Anaconda' therefore should have been nominated, and I do think if it was the pop girls, they would have had many nominations for it.

"I think I got two for 'Anaconda,' for Female and for Hip-Hop, and it should have been for [Video of the Year]. That's all we were saying, and it is what it is."

The feud began on Monday night, when Nicki posted a series of tweets, including one that said: “If your video celebrates women with very slim bodies, you will be nominated for vid of the year.”

Taylor, who bagged a Video Of The Year award nomination for ‘Bad Blood’, wrongly assumed the tweet was about her, and hit back:

Taylor then chose not to respond to Nicki’s direct reply:

After almost 48 hours of silence - and a lot of backlash - Taylor issued an apology, posting:

Within the hour, Nicki graciously accepted Taylor's apology, replying:

Taylor’s yet to reply to her frenemy Katy Perry, who posted a not-so-subtle tweet on the matter, unsurprisingly backing Nicki.

'Inside Out' Reviews: What The Critics Say About The New Disney Pixar Film

$
0
0
Disney Pixar's latest release, 'Inside Out', hits UK cinemas this weekend, after opening to huge commercial success over the other side of the pond.

The film is set in the mind of a young girl, Riley Andersen, as five personified emotions - Joy, Anger, Disgust, Fear and Sadness - try to shape her life, as she moves city with her parents, and features the vocal talents from the likes of Amy Poehler and Frank Oz.

The studio will be hoping to touch hearts and minds in the same way 'Toy Story' and 'Finding Nemo' did previously, but with British film critics being notoriously harsh, will 'Inside Out' follow in their footsteps? Find out what they had to say our review round up...

inside out

The Guardian - 4 stars

“‘Inside Out’ is terrifically funny and smart: a high-concept animated family comedy from Pixar whose playful abstractions appear to have been cultured in an impossibly sophisticated laboratory… This is high-IQ entertainment.”

Evening Standard - 4 stars

“‘Inside Out’ is tearfully touching, wonderfully inventive, gloriously funny (the novelist Simon Rich doctored the script and I think you can tell) and it’s a triumph for Amy Poehler in particular. True, you have to accept the whole twinkly Pixar world, where everybody has huge eyes, slightly neo-natal features and that dodderingly cutesy way of getting about. But it really is a great film for helping kids (and the bigger but not better kids we all are) get a handle on their feelings.”

The Telegraph - 4 stars

“The director is Pete Docter, the long-serving Pixar genius behind 'Monsters, Inc' and 'Up', and it feels very much like a companion piece to the first of those two films – though with the emotional directness of Up’s famously heartbreaking love and marriage montage and closing meditations on the meaning of a well-spent life. (My first full-throated sob during 'Inside Out' came during that initial memory-forming scene around 30 seconds into the film, which must be some sort of record.)”

The Mirror - 5 stars

“As you’d expect from the people who brought us the ‘Toy Story’ trilogy, ‘Ratatouille’ and ‘Wall-E’, the film looks just stunning, with every scene oozing class and attention to detail. Last month’s ‘Minions’ movie was an animated masterclass, but this is something else.”

Daily Star - 5 stars

“Here’s the perfect Pixar hero – funny, surreal and heartbreakingly tragic. Once again, they’ve managed to combine those elements into one deeply satisfying adventure.”

The Independent

“Kids and their parents, psychologists and philosophers alike, are all bound to be equally intrigued and delighted by Pixar’s latest and boldest feature yet. It is the universality of the film that makes it an instant classic. Inside Out combines simplicity with extraordinary formal daring and sophistication. It is very funny, too.”

'The Legacy Series 2' Trailer: Danish Family Saga Full Of Flawed Characters And Surprisingly Moving Encounters

When we spoke last year to the star of 'The Legacy', a radiant Trine Dyrholm, for Series 1, she pronounced absolute surprise that anyone had tuned in, let alone in such large numbers, to watch a very ordinary Danish family fall out and then make up with each other over the course of the series. Of course, it helps that the saga comes from the same production house who brought us 'Borgen' and made Danish coalition politics such required viewing.

And so the audience came and stayed, in such droves, that the Gronnegaard family are back for another round.. With surprise sibling Signe (Marie Bach Hansen) installed in the big house that their mother Veronika mischievously left to secret daughter, the rest of the brood are left to pick up the pieces of their reimagined futures.

The Legacy Series 2 finds all four Gronnegaard siblings dealing with their reimagined futures

What this series lacks in a central plot question - who will inherit the house? - is made up for by the internal dynamics between the warring siblings - Gro (Trine Dyrholm) and her big professional secret, Emil (Mikkel Boe Følsgaard) and his disastrous trip to Thailand following his betrayal of his brother, and Frederick's (Carsten Bjørnlund) all-consuming demons threatening to overwhelm him.

On the home front, Thomas (Jesper Christensen) continues to wander about - smoking dope, doing little, causing havoc and harmony in equal measure - while Signe struggles with her plans to create a hemp-fuelled future out of a home still all too overshadowed by the mysteries of the past. And, at the centre of it all, the underlying real question, will blood prove thicker than water or, in this case, flood?

'The Legacy' Series 2' will be available on Blu-Ray and DVD from Monday 27 July. Watch the exclusive trailer above.

What I Have Learned From Nicki Minaj and Taylor Swift

$
0
0
Literally nobody on the internet said anything about the exchange between Nicki Minaj and Taylor Swift so I guess it's up to me to fill that cyber-void. I've deconstructed all the buzz on the whole bruhaha so you don't have to. Here's what I have learned:

Feminism is intersectional, whether we get it or not.
Swifty made it about feminism, but she didn't seem to get intersectionality. Feminism is simple, despite all the chatter. Intersectionality just means oppression/discrimination that is experienced through combined social constructs. (E.g. I do not experience sexism in the same way as a black woman because I am white. Her race and gender are so bound together that her experience of sexism reinforces that of racism, and vice versa.) Taylor didn't demonstrate an understanding of intersectionality, she put herself in the discussion whilst ignoring the very real issue of racism in the media. Some would say this ignorance is fairly typical of the insular, white, western feminist movement. This may well be true, but feminism is intersectional, because it's simply the equality of the sexes, that's all. My feminism will be intersectional, or it will not be feminism. The problem isn't feminism, the problem is us.

2015-07-24-1437746480-7686385-20140313tumblr_mlkdmmkrCE1qj4315o1_500thumb.gif

Tay, like me, needs to check her privilege.
Because Swifty didn't seem to understand intersectionality, she didn't check her privilege. Rookie error. This basically means she is white and thin and able-bodied and rich and straight and white again, so the world she inhabits is hers for the taking, hence the VMA nomination. Nicki, on the other hand, recognises the world she inhabits is racist, so no nomination. If you are not sure whether you have white privilege, it's easy: go to a mirror - are you white? If so then you have white privilege. It's so important that we all grow up and recognise that it is not a 'tantrum' for Nicki to point out that performers such as Taylor appropriate black culture whilst enjoying the success that the white media brings her. (I rap, so cultural appropriation is something I need discussed.) To frame this as a 'spat' undermines the issue of racism, which is a less comfortable topic, but lies at the heart of what Minaj was trying to highlight. Nicki made it clear that it was not personal, and indeed Swift could/should use her considerable platform to highlight this issue too, but in order for Tay to understand, she needs to recognise her white privilege.
But that's nuance, and people don't like nuance.

We need to boycott misogynist media.
It's difficult to imagine this happening with men, (despite Bruno Mars' lame tweets to Ed Sheeran) because misandry doesn't surreptitiously pervade every corner of our culture. However, if it did, it would be appropriately discussed and not given the narrative of a 'cat-fight'. Hey, magazines, stop it. These same magazines obsess over women's bodies and make me feel like my soul is dying. (I'm going to stop reading them because I've been meaning to stop thinking of myself as flesh-and-hair-that-is-not-as-good-as-Meghan-Fox's-flesh-and-hair and instead as an actual person with ideas.)

Nothing has changed.
Misogyny in the media is pervasive and damaging and you already know that. Nicki Minaj called out the racism of white skinny beauty standards, but regardless of your race, if you're a woman you gotta be sexy and have a bangin' body. Ed Sheeran is nominated for a VMA but he hasn't had to be sexualised. Ed doesn't have to have a bangin' body because he's a man. Taylor, Nicki, Rihanna, Beyonce, Katy Perry - all these women are hyper-sexualised and applauded primarily for the way they look. Nicki Minaj is an incredible rapper. She is not her arse. Taylor Swift is a mega successful pop star. She is not her legs. The company who own MTV (and therefore the VMA's) is called Viacom. Of the board of directors at Viacom, only three out of thirteen of them are women. At Fox, only two out of twelve are women. That ratio is matched in boardrooms across the media sector. These male-dominated formats shape what we see on our screens. Judging women on the way they look and not what they do is telling women that their image is their worth. Now that the hatchet is buried, maybe Taylor and Nicki could address that.

Citadel Festival - "A Gathering of Friends... a Community."

Citadel is one of the most exciting new festivals on the scene and to have been invited to play was a dream. Two of my favourite acts were curating and headlining, Ben Howard and his beautiful band who I've had the honour of sharing the road with on a few occasions and Bombay Bicycle Club. The line-up had a real community feel, the Communion stage I played felt more like a gathering of friends when I looked at the line up so I was excited to get in and start soaking up the festival. When I arrived me and my band took a buggy over to our stage, the ground was dry and sun was hot! I was holding a scarf over my face to stop myself inhaling the dust billowing around us as we drove.

2015-07-23-1437655725-4189462-IMG_6271.JPG

Once we got to the stage Honey Blood were about half way through their set, I hadn't heard much before and it was great to see them playing to a great crowd. Big, loud songs with lovely melodies and harmonies. It reminded me of Mazzy Star in parts. After they'd finished I had about 15 minutes to set up before we played.

2015-07-23-1437655824-8773775-IMG_6276.JPG

The crowd was amazing! And very patient after we had a few technical hitches at the beginning. I was overwhelmed with the amount of people who had turned out to watch the set! Playing a festival in a park that I spend a lot of time in anyway, to loads of lovely people in the sunshine! What more can you ask for?!

2015-07-23-1437654997-6224142-FullSizeRender.jpg

I had about two hours of interviews before I could get stuck in to any music; I quite like interviews, everything seems new and I'm excited to tell people about the things they're interested in. I enjoy talking about the album I've just made and the songs I've written. After the last one I ran out to the front to watch Kurt Vile and The Violators. I love Kurt Vile, an old boss of mine when I worked in retail introduced me to him and I ended up getting incredibly nostalgic during his set. His lyrics are so descriptive, but in a psychedelic way he creates imagery in a way I've not seen before; "Kiss me with your mouth, without closing it all that much" sounds so beautiful and real.

I decided to get on the carousel when Bombay Bicycle took to the stage - I've been wanting to see them live for such a long time, I wanted to see the whole crowd and how they moved to the music. They're everything and more than I expected to love! They're colourful and hectic but also tranquil and thoughtful in equal measure. Carry Me was my highlight, I've been getting deep in to their records for the past couple of months.

2015-07-23-1437655902-2110091-FullSizeRender3.jpg

Nick Mulvey was the first artist I ever toured with back in November 2013. I grew so in love with his songwriting, he seems to exude this calmness in his music and person and I was looking forward so much to seeing him perform again. Moments after Bombay Bicycle Club had finished on the main stage the crowd swarmed over to the other side of the site watch him. We toured small venues in '13 and so see his fans multiply over the past 18 months has been a sensation. 'Meet Me There' actually gets me a little teary for some reason! (Lol). It reminds of the beginning and it reminds me of that tour and what I learnt from Nick. His set was ethereal.

Ben Howard closed the festival, his album has been my musical highlight of '15. I've been lucky enough to see him play it live a load of times but it never ever gets old, after i saw him at Glastonbury a few weeks back I actually just wanted to watch it all over again straight away, so I'm glad it wasn't too long until I could. The set seems to vary a little every time which keeps it real and exciting.

I'd had too many ciders by the time he was off so I made my escape with a wonderful memory of a wonderful festival.

Kimberley Wyatt triumphed in the ‘Celebrity Masterchef’ final on Friday night.

It was a closely-fought contest, but the former Pussycat Dolls star eventually beat Rylan Clark and Sam Nixon to nab the trophy.

In the first challenge of the evening, the stars were tasked with cooking for top female chefs, and Kimberly impressed, producing a perfect - and notoriously difficult - tonka bean vanilla souffles, served with pineapple and lime sorbet, and roasted pineapple, despite the fact she’d never made a souffle before.

For the final kitchen challenge of the series, she made a seafood soup, a lamb main course, and cheesecake.

When the result was announced, Kimberley was left stunned, telling the judges: “This actually means a lot to me. I haven't felt this good in a really long time.

“This has been one of the greatest experiences in my whole life.”

“The whole reason for being in MasterChef was because I’m a new mum,” she added. “I wanted to create something for my little Willow to look up to.”

Well done, Kimberly!

Now, speaking on television in Australia, where the trio recently completed their ‘Clarkson, Hammond And May’ live shows, Richard has admitted that he doesn’t plan to part from his co-workers.

On the ‘Today’ show, when asked if they planned to stick together, he replied: “I think it’s just being realistic – there’s nothing else we can do now, it’s literally our only function.

“So yes, we’ll stick together.”

It hasn’t all been smooth-sailing since the trio’s time as ‘Top Gear’ presenters came to an end, and earlier this week, Richard and Jeremy came under fire when they both posted similar jokes on Twitter, that featured homophobic slurs.

According to reports, they could be about to nab a deal for a show with Netflix.

Meanwhile, new ‘Top Gear’ host Chris Evans is continuing the search for co-presenters, and earlier this month, members of the public had the opportunity to submit their own audition tapes.

Caitlyn Jenner held a naming ceremony at her Malibu home this week, and played host to a special guest who performed a track or two.

The star, who came out as transgender and announced her decision to stop living as Bruce earlier this year, welcomed her friends to her home, for a small religious ceremony that was officiated by a minister.

After the proceedings were complete, Boy George entertained Caitlyn and her friends, performing a small set, reports MailOnline.

While Caitlyn hasn’t tweeted about the event, fans look likely to get a glimpse at the big event, as it was all caught on camera.

The star is currently filming scenes for her documentary ‘I Am Cait’, which will receive its UK premiere this weekend.

A series of clips from the show have been revealed online, and in the most recent, the star admitted to worrying about her transition, and new life as a representative of the transgender community.

“I feel bad that these [people]—especially young people—are going through such a difficult time in their life,” she explains. “We don't want people dying over this. We don't want people murdered over this stuff.

“What a responsibility I have towards this community. Am I going to do everything right? Am I going to say the right things? Do I project the right image? My mind's just spinning with thoughts. I just hope I get it right. I hope I get it right."

Ed Sheeran has made a rather embarrassing admission, revealing that he once soiled himself on stage. Yup. Soiled himself.

The ‘Thinking Out Loud’ singer opened up about the incident during an interview on Aussie radio, and quite frankly, we wish he’d kept it to himself.

We'll never look at Ed the same way again

We’re not really sure how the conversation took this turn, but Ed told host DJ Kent Small: “I actually once misjudged a fart on stage which ended up being a shart.”

TMI, you say? Oh it gets worse.

“It was, like, midway through a performance and I was really lively and then half-way through I was like alright I’m just going to stand for the rest of the performance and hope it’s over soon and then go home and throw these trousers out,” Ed continued.

Thankfully, the conversation then took a different turn, and Ed didn’t reveal where he was performing when the unfortunate incident took place.

The star is currently on a huge tour, and recently performed a series of concerts at Wembley Stadium.

He took a moment to help a pal out last week though, and performed a track for his friend, Rixton singer Jake Roche, as he proposed to his unsuspecting Little Mix girlfriend Jesy Nelson.

The ‘EastEnders’ drama is set to go up a notch on Monday (27 July), as Max Branning and Ben Mitchell face further questioning over the murder of Lucy Beale.

Following Max’s arrest on Friday (24 July), DCI Marsden is still trying to find out where Jake Wood’s character on the night the young businesswoman died.

Max faces questioning

Max was left stunned in the last episode of the soap, when he discovered that his own daughter was betraying him, and Phil is currently totally convinced that Max is guilty.

Actor Jake is set to leave the show in the coming months, could Max really be wrongly jailed for murder?

At present, it seems that the real killer Bobby Beale looks set to remain free, and police are miles away from working out that he murdered his sister.

Bosses are yet to reveal how the storyline, which began way back in 2014, will close, but we’ve got our fingers crossed for a huge soap trial.

Elsewhere in the Square, there’s been plenty of drama and a recent implied gay sex scene sparked a number of viewers to complain to Ofcom.

Watch ‘EastEnders’ on Monday 27 July to see who is charged with murder.

Myleene Klass has spoken publicly about her divorce for a second time, following her ex-husband Graham Quinn’s Twitter rant.

The couple divorced three years ago, after just six months of marriage, however they were in a relationship for 10 years.

Now, speaking to The Sun, Myleene has candidly admitted that she thinks she made a mistake marrying bodyguard Graham.

When quizzed on the relationship, she said: “I was holding the baby, working, doing everything and I wasn’t happy. It was horrible. But I’ve broken my pattern. My dad used to say I’d find a gold-digger in any three-mile radius.

“But now I don’t feel I have to save anybody. I can actually find someone who wants to just mooch through life like me, and be nice. Honestly, that’s enough for me.”

“I just wish I had listened to my dad, my friends and everyone in the papers,”
she continued. “Everyone could hear the alarm bells except me. I should have just opened my eyes.

“I mean I married a convicted drug dealer and didn’t sign a pre-nup. What was I thinking? When I say that sentence aloud, I realise how stupid it was.”
Ouch!

Myleene’s comments come just days after a Twitter rant from Graham, who lashed out after the singer claimed to have lost a lot of money during their divorce.

Taking to Twitter, he wrote: "I've stayed quiet for three years now but enough is enough.

"Please explain to me how I took your money? I lost so much money from our divorce and our house that we bought together.

"One day I hope you will put the interests of your children first and let them see their father…. Instead of focusing on what lies you can tell to boost your career."

The former Hear’Say star did not respond to Graham’s tweets, choosing instead to share a series of bikini pics on Instagram.

Sam Smith has been enjoying a series of secret dates, with former ‘TOWIE’ star Charlie King, according to reports.

The duo are believed to have first made contact on social media, after Charlie sent a series of tweets about the Grammy-award winning singer.

A source has explained the seemingly unlikely pairing to The Sun, revealing that they’ve met up secretly on a number of occasions.

“Sam and Charlie don’t mix in the same circles so the only way they could meet was through social media,” the source states. “The pair went out together a number of times but always had to make sure they weren’t spotted. They preferred going to low-key pubs in London or to Sam’s apartment.”

However, fans hoping to see Sam coupled up with the reality TV star look set to be disappointed, as the duo have reportedly decided they’re better off as friends.

“The pair hung out to discover if they were compatible. Friends have said nothing romantic happened because they decided they were better off as friends,”
the source adds. “They enjoyed each other’s company as both are quite deep individuals. They deliberately never took any pictures together because they wanted to keep it under wraps.

“Sam’s schedule is incredibly hectic so their dates were very sporadic. They mutually decided in May that it wasn’t going to work.”

Back in January, Sam split from his boyfriend Jonathan Zeizel, just three weeks after going public with their relationship.

It’s been a hectic year for the star, and he was forced to cancel a series of tour dates, after having emergency vocal chord surgery.
