Her three sons Robert, Ben and Jack have made a public statement, thanking their mother's many fans and friends for their kind words.

"We are devastated by the sad loss of our mother, but have been deeply touched by all the kind messages of support from her friends, fans, the public and media," the statement reads.

"We would like to thank everyone, especially the people of Liverpool. The tributes and condolences have really helped us through these difficult times.

"The Spanish authorities have now told us we are able to bring Mum home, which we hope to do as quickly as possible.

"We would also like to thank all those involved for their assistance with this matter. We respectfully request for our continued privacy to grieve."

Cilla was found by her eldest son Robert, who broke into her Marbella villa on Saturday night, when Cilla failed to return from an afternoon siesta.

Robert’s brothers then joined him in Spain, and on Tuesday afternoon, they returned to their mother’s house following the post-mortem. They have now been given permission to arrange for her body to be flown home.

Plenty of Cilla’s famous friends rushed to pay tribute to the star, when news of her death broke on Sunday morning.

Her close pal Paul O’Grady shared his sadness, stating: “It’s like the fun has gone, the lights are turned down now. That’s it. God, I’m going to miss Cilla. It doesn’t seem real.”

ITV are set to air a special tribute to the TV icon tonight (Tuesday 4 August), and the one-off show will feature a specially-recorded segment from Paul.

Cilla could also make a posthumous entry into the UK Singles Chart, as her track ‘Anyone Who Had A Heart’ is currently climbing, thanks to sales and online streams.

Louis Tomlinson has finally broken his silence about his upcoming fatherhood, after remaining tight-lipped on the subject for the past few weeks.

READ MORE:

Last month, it was reported that the One Direction singer was expecting a child with American stylist, Briana Jungwirth, although at the time a representative for the group refused to confirm or deny the rumours.

However, Louis has now spoken about his baby news for the first time, after being asked about it during an appearance on ‘Good Morning America’.

When the host congratulated him "from one father to another", Louis then revealed he was “buzzing” to become a dad, adding: “Obviously it's a really exciting time… thank you.”

His bandmate, Liam Payne, previously spoke about Louis’ impending fatherhood earlier this week, admitting he was impressed by how well the star had taken to it.

Insisting Louis was “taking it very seriously”, Liam added: “He’s very excited with what’s going on with him at the moment and I feel that stuff like that happens sometimes.”

The band’s mentor, Simon Cowell, has also spoken about the advice he gave to Louis when he found out he was to become a dad, revealing: “I said to him, ‘You man up. You’re fortunate because you’re in a position to be able to look after the baby and not worry too much about that.

“But I also told him, ‘I’ve received bad calls in my life but this is not one of them. This is your business but I’m here for you’.”

1D were on the show to promote their new single, which was surprise-released last week, and has already topped the iTunes chart in a staggering 82 countries.

Myra died following a two-year battle with cancer, Sam explained in a statement, that was posted on both Twitter and Facebook.

She wrote:

Myra worked as Sam’s manager for four years, before the pair began a romantic relationship in 2003.

In 2008, Sam and Myra starred on an episode of ‘Wife Swap’ that saw former glamour model Sam play host to Freddie Starr, while his wife Donna moved in with Myra.

Sam opened up about her relationship with Myra during her time with Freddie, telling the cameras: "If she wasn't there my world would fall apart. She's my soulmate and the person I have been looking for all my life."

She also discussed her relationship in 2009, during a stint in the 'I'm A Celebrity...Get Me Out Of Here' jungle.

"We’re engaged, we got engaged this year in Thailand," she told fellow camper George Hamilton. "The first year we met we both got tattoos on our fingers, we knew, I knew she was going to be my soulmate for the rest of my life.

"Myra makes me feel safe, she’s motherly which I love."

Zayn Malik has called off his engagement to Little Mix star Perrie Edwards, according to reports.

The former One Direction star has left Perrie “devastated", states People magazine.

Perrie posted this cute snap on Instagram in 11 July

The US mag adds that Zayn ended the relationship two weeks ago.

Perrie is currently busy promoting Little Mix’s upcoming album, ‘Get Weird’, and she recently landed in LA with her bandmates, where Zayn has been spending time recording and working on solo material.

A source tells People: “She's [Perrie] been putting on a brave face as Little Mix have had promotion to do, but she's obviously devastated.

"Perrie's being supported by her bandmates, but she's really in pieces about this."

Zayn recently signed a solo deal with label RCA, which is part of Sony.

Perrie and Zayn haven’t been spotted together in public for quite some time, but in early July the former 1D singer helped his fiancée celebrate her birthday.

Back in March, Zayn was forced to deny cheating rumours, when pictures of him with another girl in Thailand emerged online.

After flying back to the UK to be with Perrie - and later quitting 1D for good - he took to Twitter, writing: “I'm 22 years old... I love a girl named Perrie Edwards,” he wrote. “And there's a lot of jealous fucks in this world I'm sorry for what it looks like x.”

They later enjoyed a holiday with his family, before returning to the UK, where Perrie went back to the studio with Little Mix.

Kelly Osbourne Slammed For 'Racist' Comment Made During Donald Trump Debate

Kelly Osbourne has come under fire on Twitter, after making a controversial comment about latinos during a conversation on US TV show ‘The View’.

The star was a guest on the panel, when chat turned to Donald Trump, and the businessman-turned-presidential candidate’s attitude to race.

While discussing Donald’s many problematic comments on race and immigration, Kelly remarked: “If you kick every Latino out of this country, then who is going to be cleaning your toilets, Donald Trump?”

Watch her make the comment in this video (story continues below)...

Her fellow panelists immediately realised the potential fallout Kelly’s comments could lead to, and Ryan Seacrest jumped in, stating, “there’s more jobs than that in the country for Latinos and Latinos are not the only people who clean toilets,” to which Kelly replied: “You know I didn’t mean it like that. I’m not part of this argument.’

Despite her second comment, Kelly has still come under fire on Twitter:

Kelly’s live TV slip-up comes just six months after the presenter quit E!’s ‘Fashion Police’ following a race row, over a comment made by Giuliana Rancic.

Giuliana ended up leaving the show, after commenting that actress Zendaya’s dreadlock hairstyle “looks like it smells of patchouli oil… or weed”.

Kelly was one of Guiliana’s critics, and tweeted her distaste over the comment before quitting, writing: “I DO NOT CONDONE RACISM SO AS A RSULT OF THIS IM SEREIOULSY QUESTIONONIG STAYING ON THE SHOW!” [sic]

How Do You Tour an Online Sensation?

$
0
0
I run Kilimanjaro, a live events promotions company. Our core business is music and we've worked with many major artists including Simply Red, Ed Sheeran and Red Hot Chilli Peppers.

Over the last few years we have expanded into other entertainment and events areas including theatre, comedy, spoken word and sports. This diversity has been an important part of adapting to a changing landscape. A crucial part of what we do is seeking out the freshest new talent, artists and performers who may be at the start of their career who we believe we can nurture and grow. But in a world where a teenager can become an Internet sensation from the comfort of their bedroom it's no longer enough to just focus on the traditional routes. That's why we have been also looking to the online world to seek out our stars of the future.

The power of the Internet, and most notably YouTube has already been felt in a huge way in terms of beauty and fashion vloggers, the most famous of which Zoella has seven million subscribers to her YouTube channel. This almost happened by stealth but of course now big brands have seen the value of people like Zoella and they are monetising what was previously a hobby. What we have found is that although these phenomenons start out online there is an audience appetite to see them in the flesh. And that's where we can help. If you look at the amount of followers these people have it really is staggering, particularly in a world where there is so much entertainment choice. Of course, their content is often free but it's going to be fascinating in the coming years to see what kinds of pay models will emerge. My guess is we will be looking at a mixed economy of free and pay. What's interesting also is that the YouTube stars are also turning to traditional mediums - as per our gigs and live events but many of them have also written books. So we have come full circle in a way.

A few specifics; Miranda Sings is a classically trained singer who started to post spoof videos of a singer who was far from good. This comedy performance went viral and she now has 4.3million subscribers to her channel. We have taken her out on tours, which have all been sold out. Tyler Oakley is a lifestyle vlogger who has seven million subscribers and we worked with him to create a live show, building a stage set to mirror his bedroom, the place it all started. Again, a sold out national tour for Tyler. Then there's an upcoming event with Rachel Brathen who has 1.5million followers on her Yoga_Girl Instagram page. This will be a 90 minute Yoga Class for 300 attendees followed by Q&A and book signing at a venue in London. On the music side of things we worked with Emma Blackery and put her on tour with established artist Charlie Simpson, giving her the chance to learn her live craft and for Charlie to tap into Emma's existing million online followers. With Bethan Leadley we offered a full touring service as she hadn't toured before and had her support established acts like Lucy Spragan.

So it's an exciting and invigorating time for live events. This isn't about a "year zero" approach, ignoring all the other ways talent can be spotted, but my belief is it has to be a big part of the equation - and can only get bigger.

'Great British Bake Off' Pulls Trailer With Mary Berry Singing 'Sound Of Music' - First 'Controversy' Of New Series

'The Great British Bake Off' is back tonight, and it appears to have weathered its first mini-controversy before the sixth series has even started.

READ MORE:

The show's return was heralded with a big-budget trailer, depicting judge Mary Berry on a grassy hillside, apparently belting out the show-stopper 'The Sound of Music', with some of the lyrics given a baking twist.

The attention-grabbing trailer was first aired during the Wimbledon final coverage

But publishers were reportedly angered by the use of the original music without permission, and the BBC were forced to pull the trailer over what one member of staff called "a rights issue". A different trailer has since been aired.

"The BBC used the fair dealing exception for parody under the Copyright Act in relation to the trailer," a BBC spokesperson told Digital Spy. "This was a legitimate use of a copyright exception and there was no breach of copyright by the BBC."

The sixth series kicks off tonight on BBC1, with a diverse range of contestants that have - quelle surprise - ignited the wrath of Katie Hopkins.

The six male and six female hopefuls heading off to the iconic ‘Bake Off’ tent this year include a Lithuanian bodybuilder, a tattooed musician, a firefighter, a prison officer and The Dalai Lama’s photographer (yes, really).

And with ages ranging from 19 to 66, we’re set to see a whole range of baking experience on display as the dozen amateur bakers take on 30 brand new challenges and try to impress Mary Berry and Paul Hollywood.

So as they don their aprons, get to know who’s-who on series six of ‘Bake Off’ below...

Alexander Skarsgård showed off a striking new look at the premiere of ‘The Diary Of A Teenage Girl’ this week, but we couldn’t quite put our finger on what was different about him.

Had he changed his hair or something? Did he maybe look a bit more disheveled than usual..?

Oh no, that’s it, he walked the red carpet in full drag.

Alexander Skarsgård

Yes, that’s correct. The fabulous diva you’re currently looking at it is none other than Alexander Skarsgård, best known for his roles in ‘True Blood’, ‘Zoolander’ and ‘Kill Your Darlings’.

He was photographed on his way into the event sporting a spangly gold dress, some high heel shoes and a towering blonde wig that even Dolly Parton herself might suggest was a bit over the top.

Just to put things in perspective for you, here’s how Alexander looks when he goes about his day-to-day business…

alexander skarsgard

...and here he is, dressed up the nines for the ‘Diary Of A Teenage Girl’ premiere…

Amazing.

In case you’re wondering exactly what the inspiration for Alexander’s eye-catching attire was, his latest film outing was recorded in Castro, San Francisco. The area is famed for its thriving drag scene, so the actor decided to tip his hat (or, indeed, his wig) to the Castro queens.

Drag entertainer Peaches Christ (real name Joshua Grannell) appears in the film alongside Alexander, with Kristen Wiig and Bel Powley also in lead roles.

As RuPaul herself would say: Alexander… shantay, you stay.

Fans of 1970s hitmakers Supertramp will be disappointed by the news that the group has been forced to cancel its forthcoming European tour, due to frontman Rick Davies' ill health.

One of the band's founding members, Rick was recently diagnosed with multiple myeloma and has begun aggressive treatment to combat the disease.

He says today: “I was really looking forward to returning to Europe and playing with the band again and I’m sorry to disappoint everyone who has overwhelmingly supported the upcoming tour. Unfortunately my current health issues have derailed me and right now I need to focus all of my energy on getting well.”

The tour, scheduled to travel across Europe with one London date in December, would have been the first for the band in four years.

supertramp
Supertramp were one of the world's biggest selling acts of the 1970s

Supertramp were one of the best-selling bands of the 1970s, with their single 'Breakfast in America' alone selling more than 20 million copies. Theirs was an immediately recognisable sound on hits, including 'It's Raining Again', 'The Logical Song', 'Take The Long Way Home', 'Goodbye Stranger' and 'Dreamer'.

Swindon-born Rick Davies has been the keyboard player in the group since it was formed in 1969, when his other bandmates answered an ad in Melody Maker. Fellow founding member Roger Hodgson left the band in 1983, since when Rick has led the band by himself. The cancelled concerts would have been Supertramp's first stage appearances since celebrating its 40th anniversary in 2011 with an anniversary tour.

Fans can contact their local promoter or the venue for details regarding ticket refunds.

Miss Piggy And Kermit The Frog Split: 9 Famous Single Men the Porcine Diva Should Date Now (PICS)

The celebrity world has been rocked by three shock showbiz splits in the past 24 hours, but frankly the one we’re most distraught about is that ‘Muppets’ power couple Miss Piggy and Kermit The Frog have called it a day after over four decades together.

SEE MORE:

While at first we felt like we just wanted to take to our beds and weep for the rest of the week, we now realise that everyone needs to be strong, for Piggy’s sake. And what she needs is a Beyoncé-heavy iTunes playlist, a night out with the girls (let’s hope Camilla the Chicken has cleared her schedule) and a new haircut, stat.

And then, when she feels good and ready, she needs to think about who she’s going to go out with next.

Obviously for a true diva like Miss Piggy, only the most A-list of A-listers need apply and, given that the last man in her life was as instantly recognisable as Kermit The Frog, whoever comes next is going to have some big footprints (or should that be flipper-prints) to follow in.

Luckily for her, we’ve come up with a few suggestions. If it really, truly must be all over with Kermit, here are nine of the most eligible bachelors from Showbizland that we’d like to see her with in the future...

The 'The Great British Bake Off' tent is barely flapping for the beginning of the new series - which begins tonight on BBC1 - but the bookies have already made clear who they're rooting for.

READ MORE:

Nadiya is the hot favourite at the moment, with betting comparison site Oddschecker placing her at 6/4 to take this year's title.

Nadiya is currently the bookies' favourite to take this year's title

Leeds-based Nadiya has been baking for 10 years after wondering why her father only served ice cream for dessert at his restaurant. Her family is originally from Bangladesh, where desserts aren't a big feature of mealtimes but, encouraged by a school home economics teacher, Nadiya now delivers beautiful masterpieces at family occasions.

Marie couldn't boil an egg, according to her children, until she moved to Paris in her thirties

Marie is their second favourite, at odds of 3/1. She is based in Paris, where she was inspired by all the patisseries. She fell in love with baking, specialising in elaborate, show-stopping decorations, but also enjoys more simple far.

Flora is this year's youngest baker, but 'an old head on young shoulders'

Behind this spotlighted pair comes Alvin and Flora, both at 6/1. Flora is this year's youngest baker at 19, lives at home with her parents and sisters, and regularly bakes cakes and loaves for her family, who live in the Scottish countryside, 20 minutes from the nearest shop.

Alvin is obsessed with baking the perfect loaf

Alvin is a nurse and a bread-baking perfectionist in his spare time.

Long outsiders are Mat and Ugne, both with odds of 16/1. Mat bakes between his shifts as a London firefighter, while Ugne's other favourite hobby is bodybuilding. She bakes daily, enjoying incorporating Lithuanian flavours into her dishes.

When Mat's not baking between shifts, he's busy... oh, just being a firefighter

To be fair to the bookies, however, they do have form when it comes to predicting the winner of the hit series. Last year's winner Nancy Birtwhistle, with her home-made gadgets to help her along the way, had been the bookies' favourite from the beginning.

Ugne's OTHER hobby is bodybuilding

Those form-scouters at William Hill, Paddy Power and co must have been sweating when outsider Richard Burr started impressing with his technical wizardry and being crowned Star Baker week after week, but Nancy eventually saw him off in the final - just as the bookies predicted.

'Big Brother' 2015: Winner Chloe Wilburn Returns To Work Just Weeks After Live Final

It’s been just a few short weeks since Chloe Wilburn was crowned the winner of ‘Big Brother’, but she’s already shunned the limelight and returned to her old job.

SEE MORE:

This year’s reigning ‘BB’ champion took home the highest prize fund in the show’s history last month, winning a whopping £116,100, but has now gone back to work as an administrator at a building company, in her hometown of Doncaster.

Speaking to The Mirror, Chloe admits that rather than a springboard to launch herself as a minor celeb, she saw her ‘Big Brother’ experience as “more of a gap year-type opportunity or a girlie holiday, just a few weeks away from work, doing something completely different.”

chloe wilburn
Chloe Wilburn, after finding out she had been voted 'BB' winner by the British public

She adds: “I’m not interested in being a celebrity. I had no intention of chasing fame or trying to be a Z-lister when I came out.

“Being in that house you have no real routine. It was very claustrophobic. I was craving getting back home to get back to my routine and a big part of that was work, just hearing my alarm clock go off in a morning for work.”

Chloe even reveals that her employers were willing to allow her more time off, but she turned them down, insisting: “I love my job and I’ve got really good friends there so I wanted to get back to work as soon as I could.”

chloe
Chloe and this year's runner-up, Joel Williams

While she might not be seeking the limelight, the same can’t be said for several of her housemates (not naming any names, obv *cough*).

Delivering a couple of home truths to the thirstier members of this year’s ‘BB’ line-up, she concludes: “When I went in there I was so surprised at how many people had agents and were planning what they were going to do as a career on the back of ‘Big Brother’.

“I would see being on the show as more of a hindrance to a career then a leg up so I think a lot of them are in for a short, sharp shock.”

Chloe’s victory in this year’s series was praised by the majority of the former housemates who returned to the show in several ‘Timebomb’ twists, such as Aisleyne Horgan-Wallace and Nikki Grahame.

Later this month, the ‘BB’ house will throw open its doors once again, when a brand new series of ‘Celebrity Big Brother’ kicks off - but will any of this lot be taking part..?

Gordon Ramsay suffered an unfortunate cooking mishap during an appearance on James Corden’s US talk show, when he accidentally started a fire in the middle of the studio.

SEE MORE:

The British chef was appearing on the show with his daughter, Matilda, to show American viewers how simple it was to cook a full English.

Regrettably, this proved not to be the case, and after putting his bacon directly onto the hob he was using to prepare the meal, he accidentally started a fire.

James's face was truly a picture

Gordon was able to put it out before things got too out of hand, but James’s face was a picture all the same, while his teenage daughter was able to laugh the whole thing off.

At the end of the segment, Gordon served up the full English, though that wasn’t enough to erase the panic from James’s memory, joking: “You’re all clapping but that is not what a real chef would do. You are a joke at this!”

His guest then let it slip that this wasn’t the first time he’d accidentally started a cooking fire at an inopportune moment, confessing: “We had the extraction at Claridge’s go up in flames when the flames went a little too high and it ignited the canopy.

“We had to evacuate the whole hotel during the press launch for ‘Ocean’s Twelve’. I got such a bollocking!"

The memory of the incident looks like it may stay with James for quite some time

Matilda, who appeared on the show with her dad, recently announced that she had landed her own cooking show, ‘Matilda And The Ramsay Bunch’, which airs on CBBC in the UK.

Meanwhile, Gordon's 15-year-old son Jack recently posed for a photo on Instagram, looking a dead-ringer for his famous dad.

What was Elvis Presley really like?

That's the question Joanna Lumley hopes to answer in a brand new documentary which takes her to Graceland, and to conversation with some of Elvis's closest surviving friends and family, including his ex-wife Priscilla, who takes Joanna on a personal tour of the mansion and shares memories and artefacts from their life together.

Joanna bought his single 'Hound Dog' as a young girl and has been a lifelong fan ever since.

The documentary, to be aired on ITV as part of the ongoing celebrations to celebrate the year that Elvis would have turned 80, also sees Joanna join Priscilla at Abbey Road Studios for a recording session of the new Elvis album 'If I Can Dream' with the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra.

Other artists featuring on the album include Michael Bublé, Il Volo and Duane Eddy.

Joanna also visits the town where Elvis was born and meets his childhood friends and first love, before following his incredible rags to riches story to the Sun Studios in Memphis where Elvis recorded his first record.

Joanna Lumley says: “I have loved Elvis as a devoted fan since I first heard his fabulous voice when I was ten years old. The opportunity to visit Graceland and spend time finding out more about his fascinating life from Priscilla, and those closest to him, was absolutely thrilling."

The documentary will broadcast on ITV later in the year.

This year will also see the release of the film 'Elvis & Nixon' telling of the White House encounter between Presley, played by actor Michael Shannon, and President Richard Nixon, played by Kevin Spacey.

New reports have suggested that Jason, who courted controversy with his scathing remarks on ‘Dancing On Ice’, has signed up to appear in the new series.

A show source tells the Daily Star that the choreographer and and singer is a “perfect” fit for the show, adding: “He's so unpredictable and won't hold back. The execs are really keen to get him to sign up.”

However, Australian-born Jason is reportedly already causing a headache for producers, who aren’t sure whether to include him because of this summer’s ‘UK vs USA’ theme.

The source continues: “It's still being decided where he would fit in.”

During his time on ‘Dancing On Ice’, Jason rubbed a number of the contestants up the wrong way, comparing Lauren Goodger to a “walrus” on ice, while eventually being confronted by Denise Welch’s then-husband live on air over his critiques of her.

British stars to have been slated to appear in ‘CBB’ this summer include former ‘TOWIE’ hunk Dan Osborne, ‘Loose Women’ panelist Sherrie Hewson and “selfie queen” Karen Danczuk.

Meanwhile, American stars thought to be crossing the pond include supermodel extraordinaire Janice Dickinson and ‘Teen Mom’-turned-pornstar Farrah Abraham.

'Pixels' is a recipe of classic action adventure with a huge dose of nostalgia.

Adam Sandler stars in this action-comedy about what happens when aliens misinterpret video feeds of classic arcade games as a declaration of war, and start attacking Earth in the form of video games.

Help Rebuild Nepal and Keep the Children Safe From Immediate Danger

I have been struck by the news this week of the terrible flooding caused by the monsoons in south Asia. Estimates show that hundreds of thousands of people have been affected and we know that the threat of monsoons to Nepal is also looming. The country is already weakened by the devastating earthquakes that hit three months ago.

We all remember the harrowing images in our newspapers and on our TV screens of people who had lost their homes, their livelihoods and their loved ones. It is thanks to charities like ActionAid, who were already on the ground and able to respond immediately, that hundreds of thousands of people received life-saving supplies and assistance. But now the cameras have gone so much more still needs to be done particularly as there is a new threat to the country - monsoon season.

Thousands of children who have been traumatised and whose homes have been destroyed are sleeping out in the open and are exposed to monsoon downpours and landslides. With nowhere to go for shelter and safety, their lives are in danger.

Children like seven-year-old Pranita whose home was damaged by the April earthquake. She and her family spent several weeks sleeping outside under plastic sheeting provided by one of ActionAid's partner organisations.

Her mother says, "After the quakes, Pranita used to scream in her sleep. She just wanted to stay by my side throughout the day."

The shop where Pranita's father worked has been closed since the earthquake. The small corner store run by her mother has also been shut down, as the building it's located within is structurally unsafe. The loss of income has been devastating to the family.

Though life is still exceedingly challenging for Pranita and her family, some things are gradually improving. Pranita's father told us she has been attending a temporary learning centre to get access to psychological support and bridge her education needs until she can go back to school full-time. Since she began attending the centre, her fear and depression following the earthquake has been subsiding each day.

It is estimated that over 1million children are left without access to safe permanent classrooms. The psychological impact of the disaster also continues to be felt by children and communities.
Five-year-old Isha's home collapsed in a village in the Rasuwa District of Nepal.

When the earthquake struck she was at a water tap with her mother, little brother and grandfather. She burst into tears when she saw her family's home crumble and spent the next six weeks sleeping underneath a plastic tarpaulin, exposed to the elements.

When the house collapsed, all of the family's belongings were trapped inside, most of them ruined. The thing that she misses most is her doll Angel.

Isha's school finally reopened and after missing playing with her friends and classmates she's very happy to now be making that one-hour round trip across steep and winding trails again.
She and her family are now living in a sturdy shelter of corrugated iron sheeting provided by Action Aid and its local partners. While outside under the plastic sheeting, Isha was plagued by nightmares of earthquakes and was too scared to sleep very much. Now she says that she feels much safer and can dream again without fear.

These children must be so scared. I find it so distressing to think of these children suffering any more. The thought of my children going through anything like this is terrifying.

ActionAid has worked in Nepal for over 30 years and has already helped communities to build 950 shelters to protect almost 5,000 people from the monsoon. Currently they are providing tool kits and giving technical support so that families can rebuild their homes. But more supplies are needed to help thousands more families who still need help. The more it rains the harder it is to reach rural areas, so the need continues to be an urgent one.

My family and I have been ActionAid supporters for many years and I know the difference they can make to children and their families.
