Denise Welch has confirmed plans that she and several of her former ‘Loose Women’ co-presenters are in talks to appear in a brand new TV show.

READ MORE:

Last month, it was claimed that Denise, Carol McGiffin, Lisa Maxwell and Carol Vorderman - who all appeared on the ‘Loose Women’ panel together in the past - were in talks to appear in a brand new TV show.

Speaking to HuffPost UK and other reporters at this year’s TV Choice Awards, Denise confirmed that she and her former co-panellists were “in discussions to find the right format” for the potential new project.

Denise went on to say that the new project would “not necessarily” even be a panel show, adding: “We don’t want it just to be a carbon copy of ‘Loose Women’, we want to come up with a new format that will suit all our strengths.

“We’re in format discussions at the moment.”

The TV actress, who was praised for her role in the new sitcom ‘Boy Meets Girl’ last week, admitted that she has her hesitations about future TV appearances, as she’s returned to acting since departing the ‘Loose Women’ panel.

The only re-union we want to happen more than the Spice Girls...

She explained: “I have worked very hard to go back to my acting career, and so I’m very aware that I wouldn’t want something to jeopardise that again. But there is definitely a call for us as a group to do something together.

“We’re all still very, very good friends… it’s not something we considered until things started to be talked about, and we realised that there was definitely a public appetite for all of us to get together again.

“And it’s not about trying to recreate ‘Loose Women’, it’s about trying to find a format that we all think we can sit comfortably in.”

Last year, it was claimed that Carol, Denise and Lisa Maxwell were planning to tour the UK with their own theatre show, which would include a mix of acting and story-telling from their ‘Loose Women’ days.

Rakhee Thakrar has teased what lies ahead for her ‘EastEnders’ character, Shabnam Masood.

READ MORE:

Last week, in what were undeniably some of the most emotional scenes in recent ‘EastEnders’ history, Shabnam was told by doctors that her baby had been stillborn.

However, speaking to HuffPost UK and other reporters at this year’s TV Choice Awards - where ‘EastEnders’ walked away with the Best Soap gong - Rakhee admitted that her character had more tough times still to come.

rakhee
Rakhee, at the TV Choice Awards

She explained: “In typical ‘EastEnders’ fashion I can’t tell you too much, but what you will see, and what ‘EastEnders’ have done, is really captured the aftermath of what happens for parents when their baby dies.

“What you’ll see is Kush and Shabnam trying their hardest to get back to normal, but of course for grieving parents they never go back to normal. What they have is a new normal.”

Rakhee also teased that Shabnam and Kush’s relationship, which has been rocky from the beginning, was not about to become any easier.

The soap actress added: “You’ll have to wait and see, but what I can say is their relationship will continue to be tested. But they’re a special couple.

“They fall apart and then they get back together, they’re like magnets. So we’ll see them clashing, but ultimately they’re still together.”

Both Rakhee and Davood Ghadami, who plays Kush, were met with praise for their performances in the emotional scenes, with ‘EastEnders’ bosses working closely with the stillbirth and neonatal death charity, Sands, to ensure the storyline was portrayed as sensitively and accurately as possible.

Animal charity The Blue Cross has released a new advert featuring an unwanted pet dog singing singing 'I Will Survive' as he is liberated from his abusive owners.

Baxter the dog appears chained up outside a home in the opening of the film, while a lightning flashes around him and a man and woman's screaming fills the air.

He escapes, and begins to wander the streets, softly singing the Gloria Gaynor song 'I Will Survive' while he sees other pets who have a loving home unlike the one he has left.

As Baxter meets a pet rabbit on a road crossing, his song gathers pace and he meets a host of other pets who join him in his quest to find a new home.

Running across a park, the dogs, cats, rabbits and other animals follow Baxter and watch on as he arrives at a house where he nervously waits, before a new family open the door and welcome him with a hug.

“Hi, I'm Baxter!" the charity's website says. "My last owner didn’t love me and I knew I just had to get outta there. At first I was afraid, I was petrified. Kept thinking I could never live without him by my side… Ahem, you know the rest."

The Blue Cross helps to find homes for unwanted animals, promotes responsible pet ownership and helps to fund private vet treatment for owners who can't afford it.

The ad, made by the ad agency M&C Saatchi, has had nearly 80,000 views on YouTube.

Sam Smith Confirms 'Spectre' Theme With 'Writing's On The Wall' To Be Latest James Bond Song

Sam Smith has confirmed the worst kept secret in film - that he’s recorded the theme to the latest James Bond installment, ‘Spectre’.

READ MORE:

‘Writing’s On The Wall’ will act as the official song to the 24th film in the franchise, and will be be available to purchase and stream on 25 September.

Sam announced the news on Twitter on Tuesday morning, posting a picture of the cover art.

“This is one of the highlights of my career. I am honoured to finally announce that I will be singing the next Bond theme song,” he wrote.

“I am so excited to be a part of this iconic British legacy and join an incredible line up of some of my biggest musical inspirations.

"I hope you all enjoy the song as much as I enjoyed making it," he added.

Sam co-wrote the song with fellow Grammy winner Jimmy Napes, and it is the first James Bond theme song recorded by a British male solo artist since 1965, when Tom Jones lent his vocals to ‘Thunderball’.

Commenting on the announcement, Michael G. Wilson and Barbara Broccoli, the producers of ‘Spectre’, said: “Sam and Jimmy have written the most inspirational song for Spectre and with Sam’s extraordinary vocal performance, ‘Writing’s On The Wall’ will surely be considered one of the greatest Bond songs of all time.”

Despite previously denying his involvement with the project, Sam teased the announcement on Twitter on Monday, when he posted a picture of a ring emblazoned with the Spectre symbol on it.

He succeeds Adele as the voice of the Bond theme, whose track ‘Skyfall’ in 2012, went on to win an Oscar for Best Original Song, the Brit Award for British Single of the Year, and the Grammy Award for Best Song Written for Visual Media.

‘Spectre’ will be released in the UK on 26 October, and in the US on 6 November.

'X Factor' 2015: Simon Cowell Makes SOS Call To Louis Walsh Over Show's Tumbling Ratings

Simon Cowell may have axed Louis Walsh from ‘The X Factor’, but the music mogul has turned to his old pal to help him solve the problem of the show’s tumbling ratings.

MORE 'X FACTOR':

The ‘X Factor’ boss reportedly made an SOS phone call to the Irish former judge, after the ITV talent show was beaten by the launch of ‘Strictly Come Dancing’ in the ratings on Saturday (5 September).

Over eight million fans tuned into the BBC ballroom show - over a million more than its rival - also marking its highest ever ratings for a launch show.

Despite hiring Nick Grimshaw in place of Louis in order to attract younger viewers, The Sun reports Simon called Louis to ask him where the show is going wrong.

“He’s staying loyal to Grimmy but Louis very much remains part of the X Factor family,” a source told the paper.

There is now speculation that Louis could make a special appearance later on in the series, as Simon tries to slow the decline in viewers.

nick grimshaw
Nick Grimshaw replaced Louis on the show

Louis has already been quite vocal about his thoughts on the new series of ‘The X Factor’, and he made it quite clear he isn’t a fan of his replacement during an appearance on ‘Lorraine’ last week.

“I'm missed and Dermot's missed - let's be honest!” he said.

“When you've got a new panel, it takes time for them to settle. I think Rita is good, she's funny. Simon is good, he needs a few new lines, Cheryl is Cheryl and… what is that other guy, what’s his name?”

Ouch.

Yesterday, it was claimed that Simon had also drafted in the help of One Direction’s Louis Tomlinson to help boost ratings, with the singer set to help his boss at the Judges Houses stage of the competition.

We can only imagine how Sinitta is feeling about his, given she previously said there “will be hell to pay” if she doesn’t assume her usual role as Simon’s helper this year.

‘The X Factor’ continues on Saturday (12 September) at 8pm on ITV.

'Celebrity Big Brother': Farrah Abraham Says She Wants To Kill Her Housemates, After Natasha Hamilton Argument (PICS)

Farrah Abraham’s mission to make herself the most unpopular figure in the ‘Celebrity Big Brother’ house is going well, she’ll no doubt be pleased to hear.

MORE 'CELEBRITY BIG BROTHER':

During Monday night’s episode of the reality series, the ‘Teen Mom’-turned-pornstar found herself in a blazing row with Atomic Kitten singer Natasha Hamilton.

The two came to blows over the rationing of the remaining food in the house, after Natasha helped herself to a glass of Jenna Jameson’s Kosher wine.

After throwing insults at Natasha, Farrah raised her middle finger, yelling: “Shame on you and how you act. Do me a favour and go and fix yourself. Shame on you and everything you say.”

far
Whatever cool Farrah had is truly out the window now

Shortly afterwards, producers intervened to try and calm things down in the house, calling Farrah to the Diary Room.

Unfortunately, Farrah showed no signs of calming down, going as far as telling Big Brother she wanted to kill the rest of the group.

She raged, in a rant that Nikki Grahame herself might deem excessive: “I am pissed off… I am sick and tired of being f**king bothered by scummy-ass fucking negativity and I’m sick and tired of someone bring this f**king negativity into my life.

"I’m going to straight up kill this whole f**king house."

And as if she wasn’t already annoyed enough - she broke her flip-flop on her way into the diary room, and wasn’t going to let Big Brother get away with it.

Speaking directly into the hanging microphone, she moaned: “I’m not even f**king wasting my energy to sit back up and down. You can fix my flip-flop which I broke up coming in here.”

The episode also saw Gail Porter and Stevi Ritchie both becoming emotional, after being put up for eviction by the US housemates.

‘CBB’ continues on Tuesday night at 9pm on Channel 5.

EastEnders’ star Jessie Wallace has closed down her company, after being hit with a £60,000 unpaid tax bill.

READ MORE:

The actress, who plays Kat Moon on the BBC soap, signed over her firm Thatchers Promotions Ltd to liquidators last September, after owing HMRC £59,000 in unpaid tax and a further £1,500 in fees.

According to The Sun, the debt has not yet been cleared, despite Jessie signing a new TV deal to film a Kat and Alfie spin-off show from ‘EastEnders’.

Jessie set the company up under her real name, Karen Jane Wallace, to handle her earnings.

She was last seen on screen as Kat in May, when she and husband Alfie (Shane Richie) discovered they had won £1m on the lottery.

The couple soon left for Spain for a new life together, while Alfie was hiding news that he’d been diagnosed with a brain tumour from his wife.

Next year, the pair will be starring in their own spin-off series, which will reveal how Kat and Alfie traded life in Spain to open a bar in Ireland.

EastEnders boss Dominic Treadwell-Collins teased: “My team here are very excited about creating a whole new drama that stands apart from ‘EastEnders’ while taking our style of storytelling to a place of stories, myth, secrets and immeasurable beauty.”

The six-part series will be filmed later this year, and it will also be written by the ‘EastEnders’ team.

Each episode will be an hour-long, and the series is due to hit screens in 2016, before Kat and Alfie return to Walford.

During Jessie and Shane’s break from ‘EastEnders’, they will also be treading the boards on stage together.

It’s been confirmed that they will play married couple Victor and Joan Smiley, in the dark comedy ‘The Perfect Murder’, which starts at Cheltenham's Everyman Theatre on 2 February 2016, before going on a UK tour.

'Miss Julie' Director Liv Ullmann On Class War, Young Filmmakers' Struggles And The Legacy Of Ingmar Bergman

The great filmmakers of the future are losing their opportunities to shine, is the fear of veteran actress and director Liv Ullmann.

The Norwegian icon – muse to Ingmar Bergman and long-established in her own right for work on stage and screen – tells HuffPostUK that, even though there is as much talent available as ever, “encouraging auteurs is not where the money’s going”.

She says, “They’re losing their opportunities, because everyone’s busy spending money on what they hope will be blockbusters.

“On the bright side, there is more talent than ever, with people wondering about this world, and people’s behaviour.”

miss julie
Colin Farrell and Jessica Chastain star in Liv Ullmann's version of 'Miss Julie'

Against this backdrop of creative struggle, Liv’s latest screen offering is, nonetheless, as distinctive as ever – a sparse adaptation of Strindberg’s play ‘Miss Julie’. Jessica Chastain plays the lonely, privileged young woman, bored into toying with the affections of her servant, John, played by a feisty Colin Farrell. Samantha Morton plays his beleaguered fiancée in the film which Liv describes as “being like theatre. When it’s great actors, it’s like life, one acting, one reacting.”

What makes this 1888 play of class and gender warfare relevant today? Liv is passionate.

“Most of the world is in a class we don’t want to notice,” she starts. “Look around. They are literally drowning in waters because we don’t want to notice them.”

Despite her own huge body of work, Liv’s name will be forever associated with two great mentors – Ingmar Bergman and Erland Josephson - something she will always celebrate…

“It’s a wonderful luggage to have,” she smiles. “I know they couldn’t have done it without me, and I’ve done so much else that, even without them, it would have been a rich life. And I stayed friends with Ingmar for the rest of his life. So I’m honoured, anyone who wants to can always ask me about Ingmar Bergman.”

And it seems his unique genes are thriving for another generation, with Liv confiding that her grandson has recently graduated from film school in Norway, and has had a short film accepted by the Toronto Festival.

“He’ll be so cross I’m talking about him,” she laughs,” but I can’t help being a proud grandmother. He’s Ingmar’s grandson, but I’m also hoping he’ll flourish on his own steam as well.”

Miss Julie is on release at selected cinemas, and is also available on major VOD platforms including iTunes, Amazon, and Google Play. Watch the trailer below...

Following her death last month, Sheridan took the opportunity to pay her respects in her acceptance speech, telling the audience: “Obviously, it's tinged with sadness.

"It was an absolute honour and privilege to play such an amazing lady. Thank you, Cilla."

Sheridan previously admitted she had been left “devastated” by the news of Cilla’s shock death, calling her “a true legend” and a “remarkable woman” in an emotional statement.

Her portrayal of Cilla had already won Sheridan a National Television Award, as well as a TV Bafta nomination.

The three-part ‘Cilla’ biopic charted her early days singing in Liverpool’s Cavern Club, following her journey to chart success with the track that became one of her signature tunes, ‘Anyone Who Had A Heart’.

The song even made its way back into the charts following Cilla’s death, peaking just outside the top 40.

Meanwhile, Her greatest hits album, ‘The Very Best Of...’, topped the UK album charts the week of her funeral, with the president of East West Records saying at the time: “This Number 1 is a reflection of the special place Cilla Black occupied in the hearts of the British public.

"Cilla had an extraordinary and unforgettable voice and her timeless music will inspire fans and musicians for generations to come.”

Aaaaaaaah! Steve Oram Is 'Not a Control Freak'

$
0
0
2015-09-07-1441649127-8385158-Untitled.jpg

It's a busy Friday night in London's West End, I escape the hustle and bustle in the new Picturehouse cinema bar; it's vast and empty... the calm before the storm. The venue anticipates a celeb-studded screening of the new Steve Oram film "Aaaaaaaah!" and I am anticipating meeting Steve to talk about his new (crazy-amazing) film.

I attended the press screening of Aaaaaaaah! a couple of weeks ago & the film completely haunted me. Images and thoughts from the movie were triggered by day-to-day life. In that sense it is extremely powerful and well crafted, well acted. I'm not exactly sure what it was trying to say, but I think like a lot of good art, it says what you want it to say. I don't want to spoil the surprise - because this film is full of twists and surprises - but one standout thing about Aaaaaaaah! is the fact there is no dialogue, nope, not a single yes, no or hi how are you... it's a series of primitive grunts and squawks delivered by some very good actors. So good in fact that halfway through the film I stopped noticing there weren't any words. I understood the plot perfectly; even when the story went a bit abstract... it was always cohesive.

I text Steve, "I'm the loan lady in black sat at the big orange booth." I then realise, I've misspelled loan, I'm not here to give him money that he has to pay back with interest, what kind of writer misspells loan/lone? He appears unaware of my internal mini-crisis, ginger beard and smiling-white-teeth holding a dainty glass of Swedish cider on ice.

The first thing I ask him about Aaaaaaaah! is the no-dialogue thing. He explained that the film had actually been scripted with actual English words. The actors learned the full scripts and then the words were replaced with their own sort-of monkey language. "Like the opposite of Planet of the Apes" he said with a smirk. And smirk he should, there is some dark comedy in this script. Including a scene where the family dines on a human leg, arms are torn from sockets and other, err... body parts feature. All in all it's not really very gory, but it's not a tame feel-good film either, though there is a surreal rom-com element. It's not a film to take your mother or your 9-year-old niece to, but then you wouldn't take them to see Kubrick's "A Clockwork Orange" or Da Palma's "Phantom of the Paradise" either. I would put Aaaaaaaah! on a par with these iconic & darkly humorous films, it's a future cult classic to be enjoyed forever.

Aaaaaaaah! is not on general release, so it's likely to grow more organically, you know, the way films have a 2nd life on the internet these days and ultimately this is probably where Aaaaaaaah! will find its followers, but if you are lucky enough to be near one of the screenings check it out. This film will encourage a love/hate relationship akin to Marmite, but I can certainly say you will never see anything else like it. This kind of unbridled creativity should be encouraged, it's challenging, daring cinema at its best; and is a welcome break from the Hollywood bombardment of dime-a-dozen superhero movies, fluffy rom coms, and churn-em-out action films.

One of the reasons for the total one-of-a-kind quality of Aaaaaaaah! is that Steve had full and complete creative control of this film, a rarity in this day and age. Most indie filmmakers are scrounging up sponsorships and donations, but Steve explained that all funding comes at a price and that price is sacrificing autonomy. "When you accept funding, everyone has their 2 cents worth," he explained, but Steve did not want interference; he wanted complete creative control of his film. The result is entirely his vision as close to the image in his head as possible. He pulled every blag and favour to achieve it, a process he would be hard-pressed to repeat. He is working on a new script but next time he might opt to go a more traditional route with financial backers and a bigger team. This time he did everything himself: from writing, directing and starring in the film, to buying the props and dressing the set, basically living and breathing this movie for 2 solid years... "...but I'm not a control freak," said Steve with a big Cheshire cat smile.

2015-09-07-1441649093-7949605-aaaaaaaah.jpg

Then who should appear in the cinema bar, but Toyah Willcox (one of the leading ladies in the film) she's dressed in a beautiful orange dress, her hair coiffed but not overdone. She's sprightly and bubbly and bounds up to our table chatting about how she still gigs 3 times a week. But who knew Toyah could act? Toya's acting is incredible in Aaaaaaaah! & she would like to do more acting, her range is pretty broad, she had just filmed an episode of Doctors (that daytime show on BBC), which couldn't be further from her character in Aaaaaaaah! I asked Steve about how he came to cast Toyah in his movie, "I've always been a long time fan of Toyah's acting, she's brilliant in Quadrophenia. People forget Toyah can act, but they shouldn't forget."

Robert Fripp is Toyah's other half, and the music in the film is by King Crimson Projekts, and it's a perfect otherworldly, primal backdrop.

A few minutes later Lucy Honig slinks into the bar, she's dressed like a futuristic rock chick all in black and leather, like if Joan Jett was born in 2525 she'd look a bit like Lucy. I didn't realise she was Australian (the grunts in the film didn't really showcase an accent) and she had been in London doing promo for a few days now and was gearing up for End of the Road festival, where Aaaaaaaah! would be screened the following night. We talked about music festivals and quickly moved on to the size of UK brownies. "The UK have doorstop brownies, I've never seen anything like it, what's the deal with that?" she says, almost rhetorically... we then swap stories about favourite desserts, mostly inhabiting the hot-molten-chocolate-fudge variety. It's like chatting to a friend you've known for years, she's instantly lovely.

Steve, Toyah and Lucy say their goodbyes and head off for some quick dinner before the screening and as I type up my notes the cinema bar starts to fill up. Fans from Fright Fest appear, young men in long black duster jackets and girls with colourful anime hair, then the hipster 20-somethings show up, the 30-something beard-stroking media types & then the other stars of the film begin to arrive, Noel Fielding, Holli Dempsey, Julian Rhind-Tutt... there is a cat breastfeeding her kittens in the green room. It's all a bit surreal, animal and perfectly apt for Aaaaaaaah!

The ‘Star Wars’ franchise is to introduce its first major gay hero.

MORE 'STAR WARS':

Sinjir Rath Velus, an Imperial turncoat who now serves Luke Skywalker's Rebellion faction, will feature in a new book series, which will bridge the gap between the upcoming film ‘The Force Awakens’ and ‘Return Of The Jedi’.

star wars
A new 'Star Wars' film is also due this year

While the franchise already features minor characters who are gay, such as baddie Moff Delian Mors, Sinjir Rath Velus will be the first good guy who also happens to like other guys.

Speaking about the character’s introduction, Chuck Wendig, author of ‘Star Wars: Aftermath’, said: "I don't want it to seem like a glib choice. I think it's fundamental to who he is, in terms of character."

A synopsis for the new novel reads: “The second Death Star has been destroyed, the Emperor killed, and Darth Vader struck down. Devastating blows against the Empire, and major victories for the Rebel Alliance. But the battle for freedom is far from over.

“Across the galaxy, some systems celebrate, while in others Imperial factions tighten their grip. Optimism and fear reign side by side.

"And while the Rebel Alliance engages the fractured forces of the Empire, a lone Rebel scout uncovers a secret Imperial meeting…”

The news follows the release of the latest ‘Star Wars: The Force Awakens’ trailer last month.

The film is set to be released in December, three decades after 'Star Wars Episode VI: Return of the Jedi' first debuted.

Speaking to HuffPost UK, Nicole has clarified the situation once and for all.

After naming Ed as a dream guest for her new panel show ‘Bring The Noise’, Nicole turned her attention to the romance reports, telling us: “It had been going on for so long, and Ed and I are good mates so we decided just having fun and taking the mick."

Addressing her Dubsmash clip, Nicole laughed: “We thought it was quite clever of us. I thought of it all on my own!

“He was like, ‘I love it!’ and then he commented on it writing, ‘there, there, there’s always other fish in the sea’.”

The relationship rumours first started circling in early August, when it was reported that they’d been spending time together and therefore, were obviously dating.

It’s perhaps just as well that the reports weren’t true, as Ed has already been spotted snuggling up to a mystery blonde, later revealed to be Cherry Seaborn, one of his old school pals.

Nicole Scherzinger has revealed that she’s currently working on new music, slamming reports that she was dropped by her label RCA during a chat with HuffPost UK.

In June, it was reported that the former Pussycat Doll had been let go by the label, after a series of unsuccessful singles.

However, the singer has now told us that wasn’t the case, answering the question of whether she has new music on the way with a swift “absolutely”.

“I’ve got a new deal coming out,” she told HuffPost UK, before turning her attention to previous reports. “It was rumoured all this year that I was dropped and I actually wasn’t dropped."

“I was signing a new deal, with another label,” she continued. “We’re still working on finalising the contract, which I am unable to speak too much about.

“I’m really excited about this project and new music that I’m putting together, and which will be released next year.”

The news that Nicole had parted ways from RCA was met with sadness from fans in June, and sources alleged that the label “didn’t get [Nicole] the support she needed on the release [of her album ‘Big Fat Liar’] to make it a success”.

Now, the former ‘X Factor’ judge has a number of exciting projects in the pipeline, and she’ll be returning to TV screens in the UK and the US next year, thanks to a new Sky1 panel show, and Neil Patrick Harris’s Stateside show ‘Best Time Ever’.

Nicole also took the chance to clarify recent rumours about her relationship with Ed Sheeran, revealing the truth about her alleged secret dates with the British singer.

“I got called into the office with (producer) Barbara Broccoli and (director) Sam Mendes and they gave me the script, I read the script... they said ‘have a go at the song’, he explained.

“It’s the quickest I’ve ever written a song - it took 20 minutes... and they loved it!”

And the film bosses weren’t the only ones to give ’The Writing’s On The Wall’ the thumbs up when they heard it - Daniel Craig is also a fan.

“I was with Sam [Mendes] the other day and he said Daniel liked it,” he revealed.

Phew.

We’ve only got a few more weeks until we all get to give it our own verdict, but considering Sam wrote the new tune with Jimmy Napes, who also worked on his smash hit ‘Stay With Me’, we have high hopes!

"I wanted to make it a timeless, classic Bond song,” Sam added.

Meanwhile, Sam’s had to make more room on his mantelpiece after bagging himself the Solo Artist of the Year prize at the GQ Awards.

José Mourinho was outshone by his daughter Matilde at Tuesday night’s GQ Men Of The Year Awards after she took to the red carpet with her father in an eye-popping LBD.

The 18-year-old ensured all eyes were on her - and not her football manager father for once - in the revealing black mini-dress.

Looks like there’s a new ‘Special One’ in town, sorry José.

The pair joined the likes of Lewis Hamilton, Sam Smith, Elton John and Ronnie Wood at the Samuel L. Jackson-hosted bash at London’s Royal Opera House.

Earlier this year, Matilde was linked to One Direction’s Niall Horan after the pair were spotted partying together.

But reps for the singer were quick to deny there was anything romantic going on between the pair, insisting they were “just friends”.

A source told The Mirror that Niall’s love of football - and his friendship with José - brought the pair together.

“Niall and Matilde have known each other for a while, but they've been spending more time together recently while he's in London on a break from his world tour,” they said.

“Niall is friends with Jose, and is a real football fan, as is Matilde, so they get on really well.”

READ MORE:

He and the former ‘Made In Chelsea’ cast member have been married for just under two years - their second wedding anniversary is later this week - with Pro Green admitting that attending joint sessions has helped bring them closer together.

“Sometimes it’s easier to understand things when they come from the person who is completely removed from the situation.

“It’s one of the most constructive things I do in my life.”

The couple were recently forced once again to dismiss rumours their relationship was on the rocks, with Millie telling the Daily Mail: “You really can't believe everything you read. Obviously it is stressful having things written about you, especially when they're not true, but I don't get that upset about it.”

However, Professor Green - real name Stephen Manderson - decided to take matters into his own hands over the weekend, uploading a snap onto Instagram of the two of them in the bath, covering his wife’s modesty using just his feet.

Joking about the photo, he tells The Sun: “I took the picture and she was like, ‘you’re not f***ing putting that online. I was like, ‘I am now’.

“She probably doesn’t realise she influenced the taking of that picture. She was like, ‘You f***ing idiot. It’ll be everywhere tomorrow’.”
